I remember reading this book a while ago, but I felt it got a little creepier, so I didn't proceed further. To get out of the reading slump, if you haven't read it already, see if you can get hold of Chitra Divakaruni's 'Oleander'. It's a gripping read about a daughter's quest for her mom.
