Pretty cool. I hate dangling usb drives etc. so What I did last year was put a 13 port USB hub into my rack. Cleans it up nicely too! Great review . Might have to get one anyway!!
Will I still have to plug my external hard drive up to my laptop ?? Or could the stand be used while I am mixing ?? I'm hoping I am swing this correctly. Meaning if I can plug up hard drive , controller up to stand and it runs smoothly. I'll buy it
Great job in demoing the a new gear piece. Just another gear piece to go wrong during a gig, you'll still need to bring another hub as back up. Wouldn't want to buy a replacement/updated (Upgraded, added a few USB Type-C ports) one next year when the hub controller fails/burns out or your new controller is USB Type-C with all your new HDDs & SSDs that are now USB Type-C as well. Where is a shelf to hold your external drive? I've seen a few DJs that use a mouse instead of the touch pad. What about the people that has their connections on the right side of their computers (Cables would be to short), NOT everyone used a new Mac. Or how about the DJs that like having their computer on their left (Wouldn't you want your cables to be on the inside & viewing inward from protruding views to the audience?).
Is it ok to have the charger plugged in to YeH same port that has the hard drive? I’m not sure I’m comfortable with sending power to my hard drive and deck 😰
I've had my eye on the Reloop USB hub stand for a while but I recently decided to get the UDG Creator stand instead and possibly will buy a decent separate USB hub. I may get the Reloop in the future but didn't quite fit into my setup plans right now.
I just want to say when you made this review did you compare it to another stand. The reason I ask this question is I brought this stand and was disappointed its not worth 200. I just want you to take a look at Headliner GiGASTAND USB AT 149.00. DJING is an expensive hobby and A lot of people respect you opinion on everything DJ. ON top of that make shore there are option because some of these dj companies be over charging for dj equipment
I will buy one soon, don't need it but it's pretty damn sweet and my new ultrabook only has 1 USB 3 port. Would have been perfect for me if it had a door on one of the legs or arms that had an m.2 slot for a hard drive. Then I could have all my music with me wherever I go without needing my laptop or having to carry an external HD.
Would be curious to see how this handles running gear in HID mode. Let us know? I tend to get that "buzzing" noise in my audio when i run my adapter with the power pass through.
Hi Kyle, I had the same problem when I purchased my new laptop with a buzzing in my sound system. I thought that the problem was from the wall plug, so I purchased the HumX by Ebtech which did not help. I determined that the buzzing was coming from the laptop power supply so I purchased an audio filter and that eliminated the buzzing and I haven't had a problem since. Search Ebay or Amazon for "audio filter" and I think that should take care of your problem.
Well done! Are you still wearing the same shirt....?!?! Lmao As I watched I'm thinking.... My usb-c hub dongle, was $69.... And a good stand is not cheap either.... Damn nesr the cost of an awesome all in one with waaaaaaaaaay more benefits.... I'm In. Promo code....?
That hub doesnt run on any power so its distributes something like only 1v to each port. Not enough power to recharge a small dildo let alone a phone. It may wake up 2 CD players for MIDI use though. Junk man.
Problem with this stand : "It doesn't swivel left to right" as most stands... My choice is the Pyle Pro Universal... works well in any dj setting: www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1033349-REG/pyle_pro_plpts55_universal_portable_foldable.html
Hey it's SId. I wanna make my 6th request!!!!
Nice review , love the content bro, , u said that the power cord you use is a MacBook bro USB C?

@Notorious Glez I will do one on my channel on my over all rack set up. I did one earlier when I was just starting out on the build.
Would Love to see that how has it been working any problems?

I was hesitant about dropping $170 on a stand , but I did and I love it.
I got one of these but it is wobbly as hell on the hinges. Definitely not earthquake proof. Wondering if I got a dodgy one?
That’s dope, about to grab one
Got hot off the press a year ago and it works great and I get compliments on it.
Would it hold my monster heavy 17 inch Alienware?
Great job in demoing the a new gear piece.

you just read my mind. I don't like that my serato, hard drive, etc are all relying on this one piece of "equipment". I would rather play it safe.
@@kidmyn or maybe it is the perfect backup if your other hub fails you
That stand has been on my wishlist for a while…
Is the powerful enough for Phase and 2 external hard drives?
Laptop? What’s that for? I use Denon
Denon you say? Sorry to hear that, you have my sincere condolences.
@@Bigheadedwon yea now my laptop stays home where it belongs. 👍🏽😁
i want it. cant figure out if its a need or gear envy.
its must with the M1 Macs I pick mine up on sale for $120 (Black Friday sale ) so yes its a must have with Mac M1 users
Is it ok to have the charger plugged in to YeH same port that has the hard drive?

And what-not.... Is that hyphenated or is it one word? Just giving you a hard time.... Thanks for the demo and review.
not good for heavy 17" laptops..?
Is it powerful enuff to use with a controller and an external drive together?
100%

👍🏽 nice
Thanks for the info…u do a great job….
Wanted it for a while but also want the new MacBook so waiting on what I/Os Apple bless us with (or not) first.
I amend my last statement 😅. I need to upgrade a computer first.
Thing is , there still isn’t a laptop stand that hides wires. Crazy no one has thought of building one like that.
looks like a good gem sir
how are you going to slap that on your Hoer board?
Nice concept! $170 tho? I'll save my money and take a Yacht to Engage! 21.....
Well done!

Have you looked at the UDG Creator - that's got some swivel.
@@craigparry282 nice one, love the extra hard drive shelf 🔥
Cool, not worth the price..
