If I remember correctly, you mentioned last year's AU also had a lot of talks that were more sales pitches rather than classes. I assume it was different this year with more actual class based talks, from how much you enjoyed it.
Yea so I didnt hear that this year, I asked around and didn't get that impression this year but there's literally several hundreds of classes on and any 1 individual can only attend around 5 per day. But personally I didnt hear much complaints from my interactions.

When it comes to workstation laptops, graphics cards are usually Ada RTX 6000-5000-4000 etc. What is the difference in performance, is it just a sales strategy or is it really better than the ada series geforce rtx series for workstation laptops? For example, which is better for Inventor, NVIDIA RTX 3000 Ada Generation or Geforce RTX 4080?
So glad AU was back in Vegas. Starting Monday was a bit rough. Didn't like F1 as it made it feel like only 1/2 of the strip was accessible (Venetian side). Did it seem like the vendor area was a bit smaller this year? Seems like I walked and saw everything in 30 min and was done. Aside from that Autodesk if you are listening, maybe offer a "spouse pass". My wife and my coworkers wife go every year to just enjoy the hotel and strip while we are in the conference. That said, we would love for them to attend the closing party with us. I understand there is a guest pass but for $300 we passed on it. We just want to have our SO be able to attend a formal party by our side. A couple of our vendors did have parties outside the conference and they were invited as well. It was great having them there with us. I wish you would extend the same invite.
I agree it was a great AU, my first this year and really thought Vegas and AD nailed it. I tried to find you but the only place I saw you was at the Intel booth and you were busy. Perhaps next year! Another good video Neil! Sorry the race was a bust for ya
@tech3d you have made a video 3 years ago on xeon and core processor , i have to ask you that im going to buy cmm machine which runs on calypso software , the cmm company suggested to buy xeon w processor but is it really necessary to buy an pc with expensive processor like xeon , can i go with i7 please reply need you help
How about instead of blowing dollars on some BS Vegas show, Autodesk actually put more than 2 people working on Inventor? As a person that uses Autodesk products on daily basis for actual wage, this garbage is so cringe. Just imagine what a tiny fraction of this show's budges would do to Inventor's development. Maybe those yearly releases would be more than just an old pig with new lipstick.
They do work on it, it's only two updates per year unfortunately, unlike fusion where they are trying to catch up to inventor features but it will never be matched, I suggest you join the inventor alpha to see what they are up to and you can have a voice on what they add next
I honestly do not know of any location that could handle AU except Las Vegas. I know that some people in Autodesk do not like that venue but to be honest, those people need to grow up and stop being a petulant child and get over their dislike of Las Vegas becuase the AU event is not for the Auotdesk personel, it is for the Autodesk users. I am glad it is back there and I hope Autodesk has learned their lesson.

There are discounted passes available (as they don't include class access etc) as well as tickets for things like the party.
