Loved the tartan version
Thank you so much :) Yes, that's something I am considering! Truth is I haven't yet figured how to do it, that's the only reason why the PDF files are not layered at the moment. Another consideration was that not everyone has Acrobat installed, but I'll for sure have another think about it :)
So beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
it's a beautiful dress and the fabric is dreaaamy! You are very good and pleasant and clear to listen. I am watching all of your videos and get inspired a lot. lots of good tips, thank you! I often jump out of the sofa after a video of yours and run to sew! Thanks for the inspiration!
That's really kind! It makes me the happiest when people feel inspired, especially when it makes you feel like sewing right away 🧡 Thanks for sticking around ✨

Gorgeous dress! The way you finished it with the lining looks so perfect!
Thank you so much! ☺️ adding the lining was so satisfying this time, really pleased with the outcome ✨
You are such a fantastic seamstress! 😍
Love this pattern
Oh thank you! 🥰 Glad you enjoy it!
Great video❤️👍
Thank you 🤗
I love it ❤ It's so beautiful 🥺 I loved both versions very much. You are very talented 🥹
Thank you so much my dear 💜 It was much harder to get to that end result than I reveal in this video though - the pattern was a patience teaching moment for me!
this is so beautiful, I've been wanting to make something like this
Thank you, glad to hear it :)
Kudos for lining the dress! Nice that there are sleeve options.
Thank you! 😊 Yes, I listened this time ;)
@@ThrillsandStitches I've been drafting my own sleeves or Frankensteining patterns to get sleeves for over 30 years. However it's always nice if I don't have to 🙂.

Thank you! ☺️
Awesome videos and patterns! Are you able to make an add pockets to anything video? I love these dresses, but need pockets :P
Oh I see haha. It's easy to add pockets to this type of dress! I'll see if I can incorporate how to do it somewhere in my next videos.
Absolutely perfect Elisa! I've been thinking of making exactly this kind of 'layering' dress, with a boat neck, and was going to make the pattern myself...no longer needed! Have the perfect piece of black and thin red check fabric to try it out in. Fair to say, can't wait for the rest of this series
How serendipitous! I just saw your order coming in, thank you so much ☺️ 💜 Do let me know how it turns out, always love to see how other peoples versions turn out!
That's very sweet! Will tag you once complete :) @@ThrillsandStitches
Love this! Could the zip be replaced with a keyhole/tie? I don’t have the patience for zippers!
Hi! If you know how to hack the pattern you could easily replace the zip for a different kind of closure :)
aw man! tztztz, this is a very very pretty thing you made there...
well done!
the way you wear the pastels makes me wonder about your season again, you're such a chameleon LOL it's definitely autumn, right? but true, or soft, or dark, you appear to be able to pull of EVERYTHING?!?! haha
Thank you! Haha I keep you guessing then, never boring is it? :)
Beautiful video! I realised this week that my preferred dresses in winter are sleeveless with warm polo-necks underneath AND I’ve been looking for high boots to keep my legs warm under dresses- did you read my mind?! Have you found the high boots to be warm and good for rain? Thanks! 😊
Thank you 🥰 It's a really good formula for sure, I love wearing preppy dresses with turtlenecks in winter. Keeps warm and looks cute!
The boots are super nice and warm, especially the insoles as they are slightly padded. They really are like wearing thick stockings, so as far as wearing short skirts and dresses in winter goes, these will definitely help keep you warm(er)! I haven't yet worn them out in the rain, but they are advertised as water repellent.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️
😊
A question about the pattern, how did you draft the skirt to be a line while still having the waist darts (when I make an a line skirt I usually do it by closing the waist dart)
Hi! Well, it's about the general shape of the skirt, you can have or not have a dart, as long as the silhouette is right it will still look like an a-line :) The hem is also slightly curved to give it even more shape.
I've been daydreaming about making a sleeveless shift dress like this 😩 Unfortunately I'm working on a long winter coat right now and the pieces are swallowing up so much space I don't have anymore physical or mental space for the dress right now... Possibly in the new year? 🤞🏻
Ohhhh how serendipitous! I hope you find time to try it in the new year :) It's a really great staple to have!
