Very nice pattern. Although the front panel doesn't look that good in this soft fabric. I'll try to make this one in stiffer fabric with a bit less gathers. Maybe rising the cutt-off line round the hips will help as well to hide my belly a bit more 😊

Hi Elisa, would you ever consider doing a (short) tutorial on blending sizes together? I'm a couple sizes smaller on the top than on the bottom. I've fudged around with blending sizes for years now, but wonder what your take on it might be. Unless you've never had to blend sizes (lucky you!)? I still want to make this dress and think blending might be especially necessary for this cut of dress! 😅

Btw, I really enjoy using leftover bits of topstitching/extra strong thread for gathering! Allows me to pull out the gathering thread in one fell swoop, it saves me a lot of time. Just a little tip if you're interested! 😊

Hi there! I definitely would - as my own pattern fit me perfectly (unsurprisingly haha) I would have to try and find a pattern by another company/creator to try. I will have a think!

Hi Elisa, I am so excited to purchase the pattern. It is autumn in South Africa but I’m sure I can just wear a little cardigan😂😂
This was the first time I noticed your sewing set up in the back. I would love a tour of your set up. If you can film that video I would really appreciate it 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thank you so much, glad you love it enough to brave the cold (well, as cold as it gets in South Africa haha)
I actually have a video where I make over my sewing space. It’s still the same I just moved it from one end of the room to the other. You can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/gtVlBqw7Suc/v-deo.htmlsi=C8htNMKguLHTpzwg

Fabulous! I’m off to the shop right now… and I loved the yellow version so much ❤ I’ve been fabric shopping and found some awesome plissé fabric, which I will probably use for the skirt portion…. Oh my! I hope I’m up for the challenge of negotiating those clean front corners 😅. It will probably be the most involved make I’ll have attempted so far! Thank you 😊

Thank you so much, I really appreciate the support 💜 I would love to see a plissé skirt for this dress! I’m sure it would look absolutely stunning. I’m sure you can do the corners - happy to help anytime if you have questions!

Hi. I'm a recent new subscriber to your channel. My compliments! You do a wonderful job providing detailed instructions on your beautifully designed dresses. I've never purchased your patterns, but I will certainly do so. Question: While watching your Olympia 2-in-2 video, I noticed you didn't interface your facing. Is there a reason why you don't apply at least fusible interfacing? I can't tell the composition of your fabric from your video. It looks like some kind of viscose, however the print is gingham-like so perhaps its a cotton/poly. Last question: Do you ever sew in lining to your dresses? The last two videos of yours I've watched you've made dresses sans lining. Let me know. Thanks.

Thank you for your comment and for subscribing! ☺️ It mostly depends on fabric composition and weight. I often interface lining, but only with weightier fabrics that can take the stiffness. When the fabric drapes I often tend to drop the interfacing because I feel like it messes with the flexibility of the fabric. Hope that makes sense!

Hi Elisa. What digitized software do you use to sketch out your pattern design over woman figure? And what do you use to make your drafted patterns for printing?

Heya, sorry for only replying so late! I use ProCreate on my iPad, and Illustrator to digitise my patterns.

I don't know if I'm stupid, but I can't find the size of the fabric needed for the dress anywhere. I bought the pattern and I can't find it. Where is this information? Thank yooooou!

Hi Ana! Thanks so much for purchasing this pattern 💜 There is a slide with quantities and material suggestions in the Etsy listing itself. Hope that helps!
