Thanks for the video and information! I am working on a project to do the same for my sportfisher which has canvas and eisenglass plastic for a front windshield that seems to need constant maintenance. Great job!
Hey Tyler. Wow! Great instructional video. Direct and to the point. I love the sidebar tips that you posted on the screen. Well done! I love that you stuck to the topic at hand and didn't turn this DIY video into "story time". The quality of the video is outstanding, and you are very easy to understand. Thank you for taking the time to post a top-quality instructional video. I learned a lot from your experience, and I will be applying your techniques to other projects that I am working on. Keep up the good work. Peace, my brother.
Thank you for the video. This is exactly what I needed. I have a 2007 Sea Hunt with cracked windshield. Cannot find replacement and custom would be too expensive
How do these fasteners secure? The thumbscrew part; do you just drill a hole thru the plexiglass and push it through? Does the thumbscrew stay in if you remove the windshield? I need to make my windshield removeable on my KW Bay Reef to fit in the garage.
Nice job, you can see there are a number of challenges for sure. Personally I probably would have tried it in 3 pieces bridging each piece from bat to bar. That way if something happens to it you can just replace that piece verses the whole things. But regardless, a job well done!
Acrylic is much more UV resistant and scratch resistant. It is also a bit clearer and less expensive. Polycarbonate is more impact resistant, but I didn’t plan on hitting anything with my windshield or get shot at while on the water 😂
Can you come back in a year and show the condition of the plexiglass? I use plexiglass for other things and over time it has a tendancy to get cloudy and scratch pretty badly. I am wondering if another product (such as lexan) might not last longer?
Really appreciate man! It is easier than you think. So Clearwater, I definitely recommend doing it on a warm day. It makes the process of bending the plexiglass so much easier. Close to 1k 🤩
Good job man. Thanks for sharing... I cut plexiglass with metal blades, it has fine teeth... Give it a try
Thanks for the tip!
I been looking for a video like this for a long time thanks 🙏🏾
You’re very welcome! Hope it can help you out 😎

Very cool, what thickness did you use?
God job bro.

Have you tried towing it on the highway with the windshield?

Awesome how too. Inspired to give it a shot. Can you share where you got the plexiglass?
Excellent. What made you choose acrylic over polycarbonate?

@@WatermansWayacrylic is also easily heat-formed, polycarbonate requires vacuum-forming.

Great job and interesting. How thick is the plexiglass?
Thanks! It is quarter inch plexiglass. The windshield is holding up phenomenally so far!
Nice job buddy ! Funny i need to do something same on my 21 😂 where did you end up getting that sheet of plexiglass!? And what thickness?
The have sheets at Home Depot. It’s 1/4 😎
This is a great video. We broke our and I may try to do this on our boat! also less than 50 subs to 1000!! woot
