    A Saragossa 14000? That's huge. I've been catching Tarpon on anything from a 4500 to an 8000. I might have to try a 14000.

    • @WatermansWay
      @WatermansWay 11 днів тому

      @@heavyd777 it doesn’t feel so huge if you have 150 to 200+ pounder on (which are the ones you want to catch! ). Even with heavy pressure and 65 to 80 pound braid, we would have been spooled without chasing the fish down with the boat. On a good sized fish, most fight times last between 20 to 40 minutes. The idea is to apply heavy pressure to get the fish in fast so you can go back out there and get another one before the bite window closes. It’s better for the fish and the angler. Over the last couple of years we have landed two fish that measured to near or above the Florida State record of 243 pounds. One of the fight times was around 40 minutes and the other was around an hour and 20. Even on the largest fish out there, if you were fighting them for 2hrs+ plus you’re doing it wrong.

    Can you come back in a year and show the condition of the plexiglass? I use plexiglass for other things and over time it has a tendancy to get cloudy and scratch pretty badly. I am wondering if another product (such as lexan) might not last longer?

    I'm using the exact same product I left it out in the sun in my backyard for o idk about 4 hrs and it enrolled itself out flat and relaxed a lot helped a million with laying anf cutting it out o I'd also recommend using 3m 90 spray adhesive and 3m adhesive primer 94 like seadek recommends the primer will help promote adhesion from the adhesives and extra spray cause I don't trust the Chinese quality adhesives

    Hi sir. Thaks for the tips. My spot in Africa, there are a lot of tarpons off the beach. I use 60-80 gr jigs in order to reach 70-80 meters. Some times they are very clos to shore like 20-30 meters. I hooked like 20 of them but couldnt land one. Is ıt because of the jigs weight? I usually lost the fish in it's first jump. I put lots of pressure when it jumps (which now I learned that's a mistake). Is there any other advice you can give for me to land a trophy fish? They weight about 20 to 50 kg. Thanks a lot!

    i built many 1st editions of boston whaler's, pro lines, sea ray's, sea pros etc... starting from blueprints and plywood. i have created patterns for the non skid in 1 million dollar boats as well as cheaper 10k boats. the non skid is always patterned the same way. wed use brown craft paper and pencils to rub / trace what we could. and industry standard 3/4" offset from everything and 3/4" radius on all corners. if you don't have a compass then tape a 1/2" piece of plywood to a sharpened pencil and scribe your way around everything....literally everything hinges, walls, consoles, edges of live wells you get the idea. when you get it all done it is guaranteed to look factory, because that's how they do it. then transfer patterns to your non skid. great option is to transfer to 1/4" plywood, you can sand that and dial it in, the double side tape your sea deck to the plywood and run a flush trim router around it, perfect fit and finish 1st try. added flare, use a 45 degree chamfer bit with a bearing in the router...then all the edges of your sea deck are beveled...pretty clean look as specially with the 2 color sea deck.

    Nice job, but the savings you claim need some clarification. You were quoted for solid plastic decking using medium density polyethylene. You have installed a much less robust product having a soft foam core. Nothing wrong with that, but there is a difference in durability.

    Why do you have a boat? 😂 boats aren’t about saving money. Saving money on boat parts and accessories will bite you in the end. That stuff you are using is garbage and when you take it off you will have hours upon hours getting that adhesive off the non skid parts. It will start to fall apart and fade immediately. Sea deck is 3 year warranty. You’re going to regret this decision my guy.
