Rik Emmett may be the best lead guitarist/lead vocalist in one person ever. Sings like a bird and could shred with anyone if you ever saw them live.

Triumph is one of the best bands! They are so underrated. Rik Emmett the vocalist and lead guitar player is a genius! One of the best guitar players 🎸 in the world, writes some of the most beautiful lyrics. Very poetic! I have all of Triumphs collection of music. It's hard to find a lead vocalist🎤, who plays lead guitar🎸 at the same time. He's a true talent, they don't make em like that anymore! Love your channel! Can't go wrong with any Triumph! 👍😀 and you're right, It's a Masterpiece!👍

Great band and one of their best songs! Triumph were well respected and fairly popular back in the day, but it seems they are a little forgotten and underrated nowadays. Lay It On The Line should be a classic rock staple all over the world!

You can’t know Triumph unless you’ve seen them live. I saw them with Yngwie Malmsteen, for the Sport of Kings Tour . Rick Emmett is a genius guitar player and his band is so solid and flawless

So true. I saw them twice and their epic US festival set is on UA-cam. Should be reacted to so much more. Live triumph was where it's at. Their studio stuff is restrained and tamed in comparison.

You should check out the live footages of this in Halifax and the US Festival in 1983. Rik's vocals are even more impressive live than on the studio versions!!
