Yeah, every time I hear this story I'm surprised by how everyone seems to gloss over the paedophilia. Literally the only time I've heard it addressed is here when Bobby describes seeing the security guard and Katherine responds "that's what a paedo looks like". But generally everyone seems really unconcerned with how an adult - and one who was supposed to PROTECT the teens at the prom - instead took advantage of an emotional and vulnerable underage girl.
Other ethical issues aside, age of consent in Canada is currently 16, raised from 14 in 2008, so it technically wouldn't have been illegal. I'm not saying it wasn't terrible in many ways, but it wouldn't have been legally defined as pedophilia.

Oh my goodness. I had a good look at the babies dummy and it brought back a memory with a shock. I had a dummy like that when I was 2 or 3, that was decades ago. I sucked one and the other one went under the pillow, I can remember doing it. I liked the smell of them. I suppose they were made from rubber and perhaps people don't want to use plastic ones now. My grandmother came one day, the sash window was open and she pretended to throw it out of the window and said "you don't want that anymore" It has only just occurred to me that I never asked for my other dummy when I went to bed. I was robbed.
