- One thing we love doing, is seeing some of the areas that you can get around Branson for free! We have found TONS of amazing things to look at, see or just do around the Branson, MO area. And these are all FREE to get to! (Or pretty cheap!)

When we lived in Republic, my wife's family in Illinois would occasionally visit. On one visit by her cousin & her husband, we went to Branson Landing, and while the wives went shoplifting, we husbands went for a walk, eventually winding up at the fountain, where we were supposed to meet our wives after they'd finished. We sat down to watch the show, which started with the playing of the National Anthem. Being veterans, we both stood at attention, and when it ended, we sat back down. But then the show started again, and we both stood at attention for the National Anthem. After about 3 or 4 times, we both felt the need to move on. As to the Branson Belle, that definitely IS a must go to. Next time you're there, ask how they got her into the water. The story they told us may be or may not be apocryphal, but it sure is entertaining.
I will say, that's not a story I have had the chance to hear 😁, I'm sure it's a good one!
@@wiserlivingrealty They told us they couldn't use grease or oil for environmental concerns, so they used banana peels. Now, I don't know whether that's true or not, but...

It looks like they are closed temporarily! They do plan to reopen it I think they are making some renovations to help improve it 🤩
