Silly! Springfield is famous for its proximity to Republic, which is famous for its proximity to Wilson's Creek (the first major battle of the Civil War, and the battle which kept Missouri in the Union), and also for having been the home of Matthew Robinson for 16 1/2 years (2000-2016). 🤣🤣🤣 Republic, so vastly superior to Willard! Now quit making me so homesick! Oh, and watch for deer. BTW, I wrote the above before you got to the part about Wilson's Creek. Among my innumerable happy memories of living there was the Wilson's Creek re-enactment, especially the one in 2000. I went 4 times, once with each grandchild (6, 6, & 5 years old) and once with my wife. My granddaughter stood looking up transfixed at the swaying corpse of a hanged spy. I loved living there. But, home is where you hang your white hat (an old navy expression) and now the whole family has relocated to Noblesville, IN, so this is home now. But I do sorely miss Republic.

I go to the Brown Derby in Nixa for Beer.

Macon, MO resident here. It is SOOOO annoying when I want the weather in Macon, and it's telling me how the weather is in GEORGIA. Like... Oh my God... HAHAHA! Oh, and if I want to know how far away a place is? Oh, don't worry... I KNOW how far away Branson is from Macon, GA! (720 miles, by the way) Missouri's not bad. But... But... Oh dear God, downtown Springfield, MO is a cespool of filth, drug addicts and homeless people, just like the rest of this town is. Sorry guys, you are hardly being honest. But if you actually were people would avoid this shit hole city like the plague.

One thing I hate about Nixa MO is a lot of the kids, and I mean the majority of them are so disrespectful. I've been all over Springfield, including the bad parts more, and I've never received so much disrespect from the kids. They harass people and restaurants all the time. Ozark is bad about that, but nowhere near as bad as Nixa. The only good thing I like about Nixa is that everything is within close walking distance. Another bad thing is the cops. The cops in Nixa pull people over for nothing all the time and will come up with a lame excuse and tell you that they didn't have to pull you over after all. When I was working at Braums in Nixa, I would watch people get pulled over all the time and watch the interactions 90% of the time, and people get pulled over for no reason.

9/10 not a bad list.

A Missouri friend described Missouri people as two kinds. One, are are conservative folks with stubborn beliefs and little tolerance for outside ways, but they are kind people and won't hurt you. The others are hoosiers [red- necks] who are conservative like the others but hateful and self- rightious in their rudeness. And with no pretense of being Christians.

I did not see a deer but I definitely saw Literally 30 Gang Stalking Red Nose and Antler reindeer white cars circling me for 3 straight years in 17 states. Now Is that a Non Chihuahua go? Because I Only say let’s go to my Reality Chihuahua lol That’s what I call Effort And a funny Reality lol
