So much raw emotion in this music video, having only recently discovered the story behind the song, you can really see the lyrics play out on stage in front of you, the way he doesn't look at her once through out, and the way she keeps looking at and searching for him, the melancholic stares and sadness in her eyes when she sings "you can go your own way, you can call it another lonely day" knowing she and him/they're singing about her.
The music held them together as a group - the various conflicts inspired their creativity and solidified their "group relationship". Angst was their glue, and also their success.

Most of the songs on Rumours is Stevie and Lindsey sniping at each other and that's what makes it brilliant. Kudos to them for keeping the band together under all that pressure and creating brilliant tunes.

I liked Christine the best when she was singing background and playing the Hammond and Fender. I had a creep crush on her. I loved when she tuned her instruments on demos and live shows. It sounded symphonic.

When they were in their prime! Rumours is still one of the greatest albums ever written, produced, and sung. People will be listening to Rumours hundreds of years from now and still enjoying Fleetwood Mac long after we have all been long gone.

Still gets me that the one song you’ll commonly hear from FM on radio or tv is the positive, catchy tune that’s really a big “F you” from Lindsey to Stevie. That’s how you know the music’s good when it has genuine meaning behind it and it can apply to any similar situation or time people go through.
I saw a clip once of Mick Fleetwood listening to and talking about some of the songs on this album, and at one point (I forget on which specific song) he gets this look of amazement on his face and says something like, "Listen to him. He's like a whole orchestra back there!" about the man he played with for many decades. No weak links in this band.

They are the most incredible special amazing talented artists to come together and perform in front of an audience in the most rockstar fashion while no one in the crowd knows what they were really going through with each other and within themselves in that moment. But I did see an interview where Stevie said something to the effect that one day his ‘beautiful children would one day leave home’. I thought she still held a torch for him.
Cocaine, sex and 70s Rock is a dangerous combination. Still gets me that the one song you’ll commonly hear from FM on radio or tv is the positive, catchy tune that’s really a big “F you” from Lindsey to Stevie. That’s how you know the music’s good when it has genuine meaning behind it and it can apply to any similar situation or time people go through.
The pain is sooo blatantly obvious..but it did produce this Classic.
Mick's mastery of offsetting the beat and driving the bus in this track is first in class.
John McVie is a one-man orchestra. His bass part holds the whole song together.

I saw a clip once of Mick Fleetwood listening to and talking about some of the songs on this album, and at one point (I forget on which specific song) he gets this look of amazement on his face and says something like, "Listen to him. He's like a whole orchestra back there!" about the man he played with for many decades.
No weak links in this band.

It was a devastating tragedy when Peter Green fell by the wayside. But out of that fire rose this epic lineup. One of the greatest bands ever. RIP Christine.
The definition of being pros. The show must always go on. You can have all the talent in the world but if you can’t go on stage and give a performance it does not matter.
