He eventually met the right woman and has a son who would bring answers and closure to his his whole life's meaning....that as a man and scientist, and that as a man and husband. It was perfect. Real live has many dimensions,purposes and souls we meet along the way. Not all have to be the way we think or thought they were meant to be. It's called the universe.
Well, some people are so scared of ageing and what effect it will have on their relationship with their significant other. I have been married 52 years and finally I think we have reached the perfectly "oiled" marriage. I am happiest now that I have ever been, after all the storms of youth, raising children, burying parents and other family members. Yes, I would do with a bit of better health but otherwise it seems to be the best time of my relationship.
I went out for breakfast by myself. I watched an older couple sit across from each other and they didn't speak at all. Sipped their coffee. No words. I wondered...are they bored, postponing an argument, nothing left to say? It was odd. I hoped they were just quietly at peace w each other.
I've been with my "boyfriend" since we were in highschool; two years apart in grades because our birthdays fell at opposite sides of the years but fell in love slowly through a few years as friends. Been together now 14 years going on 15, have two kids and are going through the difficulties in life changing and learning together. Can't wait to say we've been together 50 years and see all his greys.
Woke up this morning, picked up my phone and went to instagram. Film zone popped up on my algorithm and a clip with an old Harrison Ford came up. I was so intrigued by the clip I googled the movie, and headed to Netflix to see if it was there. Unfortunately it wasn't. I simply resorted to youtube where I might find a clip or two and just happened to see the full movie thanks to you. I woke up and randomly watched this entire movie in bed on my phone, and it was beautiful. So beautiful that I can safely say it's now officially my second favourite movie of all time. Only my favourite movie has ever brought tears to my eyes the way this one did.
There are so many gems in this film, history, nostalgia, fate, human biology ( liberties granted) talk of interstellar connections..time so much stuff!😍
Maybe I don't need to see another film anymore; this is so perfect every time I see it. No other film can be as overwhelmingly emotional as this . I'll probably never be bored of it. Thank you.❤

At first I actually thought... the actor playing the son of Harrison Ford was Keanu Reeves. The actor was great though. Just as the actress. Imagine, one doesn't age... a whole new set of really difficult problems and no end in sight. How great it could be with the right people at a time during the centuries. ❤
I first came across this film around 5 years ago on the recommendation from a friend. I purchased it on dvd and it is still a favourite film of mine. A wonderful story behind it and great actors.

If you read fiction, you'll find the same themes, but will have to look for books from the 1930s to 1970s when people were capable of imagination, not cut and paste.
This movie has an intriguing predicament, like no other, but was the instrument for coming back to herself. Imagine the possibilities in life and there is no end except wonderment.
It’d be strange to finally meet the girl your son was seeing, only to find it was the exact person you wanted to marry 40+yrs ago but she ran out for some unknown reason, never contacted you & hasn’t aged a day. A pretty big ‘what if’ tho. I’d probably change the name of the comet.
Such a great film, I had forgotten about it, nice to rewatch it again. Imagine if this happened to you and you ended up living 1000 years, I wonder if it would be fun or a complete nightmare.

Love is beautiful and blissful but can be hurtful.. Nothing lasts forever, everything is always changing and evolving.., but I will everlastingly treasure this tale, ❤ it!!
A quality film with a great cast, good to see Harrison's character with that prolonged stare to his son's guest. Going back as far as H.G Wells - The Time Machine (1895) the zeitgeist continues & rightly so. I've always hoped that there are those, I wont define who or what 'they' are out there, maintaining a watch over the rest of us.

To me, it made her character a little one dimensional. A little too contrived.
