Historic Battleship Texas moving to Galveston for repairs

- After more than 70 years at its home, the vessel is moving. If you want to watch the tow to Galveston, the public is invited to a few viewing sites for a more up-close look.
I'm just glad 2 c her being restored. Can remember climbing all over her back in the '60s. Why a beautiful old girl. I feel fortunate 2 get 2 c her move.😎

I’m glad the old girl is getting some much needed love. The state had better fix her right. She is worth every dollar spent. It’s darn sry on our country’s part we can waist money on stupid stuff. Yet can’t replace her decks or paint the ship

That would be another 35 million dollars for that. They cut the propellers off at the shaft and removed the propeller mounts.
