So he will have the club's scouting crew identify young talented players from lower leagues around Europe and beyond who meet particular criteria. In the meantime, Mou will hopefully bring in 4/5 experienced, fairly priced, reliable players, not past their use by date, in order to bridge the gap to Galatasaray, their main Title challenger. Fenerbache, for this coming season must hold on to all their promising younger players in order to increase the likelihood of winning a trophy before they are sold to the highest bidder. A winning season will increase those players value considerably and especially those in a defensive area that will be enhanced immeasurably by having a master in the art of defending teaching them. With this squad, and obvious new additions to be brought in then the main expectation is for Mou to win the title. A solid European title run would be great in the 1st season as well especially if Fenerbache qualifies for the EL or ECL instead of CL! Some examples; Elijf Elmas to Napoli, Kim Min Jae to Bayern and Arda Güler to Real Madrid. Fener got over €50M from these transfers but,Fenerbahçe was dealing with high depts where the clup was forced to make a deal with the central bank. According to this agreement, Fener had to pay 50% of all its income directly to the bank (past 8 years). Previous year, most of the debt has been payed and the agreement is removed. So Fenerbahçe is a very very trophy hungry clup since its been 10 years from the last land title. At this state, it will be hard to give 'potential young player' chance and hope for succes. Instead of that, i am pretty sure Fenerbahçe will get at least 1 world star to its current roster. The rumours are Lewandovski, Lukaku etc. Even if they don't come, it will be someone that level. Mou will open the doors wich normally would be impossible in Turkish league. And i think Mou will like the new CL format. Don't forget that teams getting 30M€ just for entering CL (while title champion gets 7M€ in turkey). One thing is certain: its going to be a very, VERY interesting season.
