MLS rarely brought up the winner of the trophy... until Miami won it and now it's a huge deal. It's just being used as a way for MLS to market Messi and is just an excuse for FIFA. The fact that MLS lets Miami break rules and then sends them to the CWC when they didn't even win the league is just corruption at it's finest.
You do realise that the host country always chooses the league winner to represent them in the club world cup? The only people who don't want this tornament to happen are the europeans. Football fans from all the other continents would really enjoy having their teams face european opposition. It would also benefit them in the long run, providing money for these clubs and leagues to better themselves for the next cycles. And if you are an european who really dislikes this torunament, imagine having the UCL without south american, african and asian players in your squads and see if it would be entretaining. The fact of the matter is that europe has benefited from having too much money and buying all the worlds top players in the last 30 years. No wonder our sides have weakened, when you're hogging all our best players. Just a reminder that Brazilian players are top scorers in the Champions League in the 21st century, when you sort all goals by nationality. And Argentinian players are top 5.
I bet FIFA might end up regretting that they didn't make this an invitational tournament, or that at list they had different criteria for qualification. - Barcelona not being there might make them lose lots of viewers (especially with how good Barça is this year) - Even though they do have a good talent in Cole Palmer, I bet they hoped to see a better English team than current Chelsea (and they probably hope that at least Manchester City is back on track) - Two of the big three teams from Portgual will be there (Porto and Benfica) right as the _other_ one (Sporting CP) is one of the hottest teams of the season - Messi's team did let them make sure that he can be there, but Ronaldo's team couldn't. Bet they would have bent the rules a lot to justify Al Nassr, but there was simply nothing they could use - Speaking of Arab teams, lots of World Class players are in the Saudi Pro League and only one of them will participate - Having *all* the South American representatives being either Argentinian or Brazilian means that many South Americans might end up not watching it - While they did want to avoid having too many teams from one nation, the fact that UEFA's ranking made *Red Bull Salzburg* one of the European teams means that they'll have a team struggling in Europe to be there I obviously didn't want to offend those teams' supporters, but I do believe that FIFA would have loved to see things go in a different way
More games means more money in world football and also opportunity for many more players to be až the top stage. I don't get why everybody is so much against it. Clubs just have to adjust. And the point with Miami is based on an uncertain ground to say the least.
South American clubs play even more often than the European. Im all for City v Flamengo, Inter Milan v Boca Jrs, but I dont understand how the other continents qualifiers work. And mainly, how come the US have so many clubs as part of it?? I expected to see more African clubs to say the least!
And to think that people used to be upset about Havelange as fifa president. These guys are destroying the game and it is getting closer and closer to the US system for team sports. Ridiculous.
The calendar is even worse as for Brazil. It has everything to be a fun competition to watch but sadly it won't be competitive, the european teams will always win. Maybe a brazilian team can beat one top european team once (like it is with the intercontinental cup), but i don't see any clubs outside of europe winning this tournament
I like Messi, but FIFA waiting until Inter Miami won a trophy to determine the final team to qualify is just shady. I really don’t want to undermine the Supporters Shield, but we’ve been told all this time that it doesn’t matter if you win Supporters Shield because the MLS Cup is what matters. Now Inter Miami wins Supporters Shield and that’s the determining factor for qualifying for the CWC?? Let alone not letting anyone know that would be the deciding factor until Inter Miami won the Supporters Shield.
I'm sorry, but this is just EU ego. Everybody in south america, middle east and asia are very excited about the tournament. Why is it FIFA's fault for the amount of games when FIFA tournaments represents only 1~2% of the matches? This is ridiculous.
This Tournament Will Be A Failure. It Doesn't Matter Who Wins. Also As Much As People Can Disagree With This UEFA Hold The Power When It Comes To Marketing, Promotion Etc. If The European Teams Don't Bring Their Big Stars This Tournament Is Dead In The Water
They'd only care about the club world cup if they could ever lose to a club outside of europe. After all the Champions League wouldn't be the best championship in the world if they can't beat the south american or asian champion
@@mthokozisinkomoxulu8097 exactly, sadly this competition doesn't matter in the end. It should be the greatest title a club would want to get, but it is just not

- Messi's team did let them make sure that he can be there, but Ronaldo's team couldn't. Bet they would have bent the rules a lot to justify Al Nassr, but there was simply nothing they could use
- Speaking of Arab teams, lots of World Class players are in the Saudi Pro League and only one of them will participate
- Having *all* the South American representatives being either Argentinian or Brazilian means that many South Americans might end up not watching it
- While they did want to avoid having too many teams from one nation, the fact that UEFA's ranking made *Red Bull Salzburg* one of the European teams means that they'll have a team struggling in Europe to be there
I obviously didn't want to offend those teams' supporters, but I do believe that FIFA would have loved to see things go in a different way
More games means more money in world football and also opportunity for many more players to be až the top stage.
I fondly remember watching Inter Miami as a kid in Qatar back in the 90s, what glorious memories of this historical club ❤️
Bot spotted. Inter Miami hasnt existed for more than 10 years yet.

@@86Fallowcp You're a kid or what? You don't even know what sarcasm is?
I am excited for it. We have domestic cup, Continental Cup and now we have a cup to unite them all. The Club World Cup.
Why not a qualification turnament with crew inter and LA
And to think that people used to be upset about Havelange as fifa president. These guys are destroying the game and it is getting closer and closer to the US system for team sports. Ridiculous.
3:30 why is he talking like Triple H cutting a wwe promi
It was either Columbus or Tigres that should’ve get the invite.
Tigres are not from the U.S.
@@JustErik92 but theyre from CONCACAF which is the pool of teams theyre picking from, not "the US"
The calendar is even worse as for Brazil. It has everything to be a fun competition to watch but sadly it won't be competitive, the european teams will always win. Maybe a brazilian team can beat one top european team once (like it is with the intercontinental cup), but i don't see any clubs outside of europe winning this tournament
to be fair those rich clubs have so big squads they can bassicly put 2 teams on the field with low quality difference why not use it !!
Its a business, and certainly need a good sense of business plan (or plot) 😂
Mamelodi Sundowns will take this Trophy home 🎉
I'm sorry, but this is just EU ego. Everybody in south america, middle east and asia are very excited about the tournament. Why is it FIFA's fault for the amount of games when FIFA tournaments represents only 1~2% of the matches? This is ridiculous.
I'm sure Auckland city FC won't mind this
I hear they are fuming 😂
They're probably gonna win the whole thing because the Euro teams are gonna send their Reserves/U21 squads.
Might as well bring Al Nassr 🤣
Bro why did atletico qualify???
This Tournament Will Be A Failure. It Doesn't Matter Who Wins. Also As Much As People Can Disagree With This UEFA Hold The Power When It Comes To Marketing, Promotion Etc. If The European Teams Don't Bring Their Big Stars This Tournament Is Dead In The Water
They'd only care about the club world cup if they could ever lose to a club outside of europe. After all the Champions League wouldn't be the best championship in the world if they can't beat the south american or asian champion
No One Outside Of Europe Has Won This Competition Since 2012. I Don't See That Changing Anytime Soon.
@@mthokozisinkomoxulu8097 exactly, sadly this competition doesn't matter in the end. It should be the greatest title a club would want to get, but it is just not
All the best clubs are in Europe anyway so this Club WC dosnt make sense when the Champions League exists
Then European basketball teams shouldn't challenge NBA teams, since the NBA is the best in the world.
@ i agree.
Al Hilal can also reach the quarter finals
an European club will win it, i will still watch Fluminense games cuz its my club, but as soon as it gets eliminated im dropping it
5:36 Conte com isso, nós iremos surpreendê-los.
pov money
Your points are dumb. Firstly, blame uefa and company for the crazy playing schedule. Secondly, the tournament happens every four years, and if I'm not mistaken, each confederation decides how their quota gets filled, not fifa. Thirdly, why should fifa not want the biggest club tournament to be international one? It's makes sense. Screw uefa if they think they are above, and for disingenuous claiming "too many games" as the issue. I'm all for this global spectacle, everyone outside uefa gonna love it, so uefa and you can shut it.
Who cares, inter miami isnt gonna win it anyways. And it’s not messi fault tf
Look at arsenal fc for example.
#InfantinoOut
Real Madrid will win the club world cup or Manchester city
The fact clubs Barcelona or Bayern (that might even win the UCL this season) aren't in this club world cup but Inter Miami is absurd.
Keep crying about it
Give me a reason inter miami was in the cwc
