I love how these ideas are ‘non typical ’ fall arrangements. Although the mums that appear in all the nurseries and big box stores signal the start of fall, they don’t last very long. 🌸🇨🇦
I agree. I love a mum, but that’s my struggle with the is they just don’t last long. I always buy ones that are closed and barely showing color, that way I get to enjoy them longer. 🥰
Wish I lived close. I did get to visit this month but didn't visit the plants as I knew I couldn't bring back to Texas on the plane. Everything is so beautiful.
Thanks Judy! Brian is a wealth of knowledge, I had so many good take aways from his perspective, I’m happy we got to share our views and styles of planting. 🥰
Can’t choose they are both stunning! Love the artichoke pop with the sedum and the other I love the ajuga with the pansies. Great job, great ideas! Love it.
Thank you so much Maria!! I agree, both are beautiful and bring a completely different fall feel. There’s so many elements I loved in Brian’s containers, I would be pleased with both. 🥰 Also I am LOVING ajuga in containers this season. 🤩
How fun! Nurseries are one of my favorite places I love to walk through them wherever I go. Love, love both containers favor yours for the colors and textures you chose and love the moss idea. Wait till you try succulent pumpkins. I’ve done them for years they are a lot of fun and there are so many different things you can do. I love doing a stack with moss and succulents. You can plant the succulents when you’re done with the pumpkins which will last a long time as they are not cut. You can even remove your succulents and paint the pumpkins and use them inside or in the garden/porch for Christmas! Little gold or silver spray painted pumpkins are very versatile. Have a great time with them.
Aww thank you so much!! Honestly I LOVE stacking pumpkins with moss in between. I need to put some succulent pumpkins together it has been a while. I actually did some big arrangements with them a couple of years back and your note about spray painting them just gave me some more ideas. 😍 Thank you so much for your great points and ideas! 💗
Hey Claudia…good morning! Both containers are beautiful but I have a soft spot in my heart ❤️ for ornamental grasses 🌾🌾🌾…just so in love with their structure and dramatic inflorescences…so my pick is yours!!! 👏🏼 Also loving that burgundy sedum you placed in it…it adds great contrast to your fall design! 🍁🌾🍂
Loved the back and forth you two had. Great ideas. One thing i learned from Kate @ Hello Garden was to take a paperbag template of my containers with me. That way I don't get home and realize I don't have enough to fill my containers. LOVE the idea of filling the tall containers with the plastic containers.
Oh my gosh yes!!! I loved Kate’s video on container planning and all the basics she taught us in that video. That is such a good reminder for everyone to do the same, especially me because I can go a little overboard with plants at times. 😆
Aww thanks Denise!! Honestly I love all our containers, I’ve just been drawn to plums this year. I think fall is going to be a great time to continue that color palette. 🥰
I think I like both. I will copy both for different areas using some bonsai that the kids from school didn’t do a great job styling and the grasses will help disguise some of their cuts so maybe Claudia’s wins for what I think I will use. We had clubs and I taught bonsai and the football players always filled my club in the greenhouse and didn’t take them home but their designs weren’t always kind to the trees. So I am going to use them in my fall planters.
Joyce that is a great idea! First off how amazing that you teach bonsai techniques, im assuming you are a teacher? I bet you get to see all sorts of creations from your students. I think that is such a great way to repurpose them in containers, I’m sure you will dress them up and make them look amazing. 🥰
Aww thanks!! Honestly I have not been in the fall mood at all until Brian and I started plant shopping and putting these containers together. Now I am embracing it. 🥰🧡
I so agree with getting perennials for fall containers as this season is so short in our area and economically it makes sense to transfer these plants to the landscape to enjoy the following years. 🥰🌸🇨🇦
Right! I think it’s such a fun way to reuse plants. Don’t get me wrong I love annuals so much but it’s also really nice having perennials I can use out in the landscape. 🤩
What fun! Thank you. I love them all. We are in spring so it is wonderful to see your selection. My spring ones are full of volunteer seedlings from the garden - Primula's, Lobelia, Linaria, Forget-me-nots and Impatiens.
Aww that sounds lovely! I LOVE when I see little volunteer plants come back, sometimes in places you didn’t even expect to see them. As we wind down you guys are winding up, that’s exciting. I hope you have a beautiful spring season. 🥰
The tied hair thing idea is fabulous. I would also put pumpkin with a floral stick so it doesn't get buried into the pot. Thank you, they're all pretty!
Oh how fun is that friendly competition!! I love them both so much! I would actually set them next to each other, because that’s how I roll! 😂 If I over buy I just throw together another container! Because more, is just that much more pretties to look at 😜
Yea Never heard of Bauman's and I can drive there in about an hour for a fun Saturday. And buy plants which I love to do and no tax in Oregon as I live in WA.
YAY BRIAN 👏 Hi Claudia, Sergey, and Brian 👋 I am so excited for this. Brian I love both your containers, especially the red and orange. I think Janeys is pretty. I think more people voted for hers with the pink which seems to be a favorite with most people. I love the Silver Falls and must get some next spring. I love the blue. I have been wondering, why does PW have so many pink flowering plants that are sooo much more vigorous then the blues?🤔
Aww thanks Jennifer!! Honestly both Janey’s and Brian’s containers looked amazing, and just in a short while after planting them which tells me how impressive these new plants are. That’s is great question, I would love @provenwinners input on that. I have a degree in biology so I feel like I should know this one. 😆 I’m wondering if it has to do with how blue reflects light? I need to do some reading now. 🤔
Aww yes, arbs are great in containers. I like that Brian used a lemon cypress which resembles them but has a beautiful scent which makes them even better for containers. 🥰
Smashing the pots in the bottom doesn't mess with the drainage? I love both ya'lls containers 😍 Will that vibrant Phlox and the Lemon Cyprus grow here in the heat and humidity and full sun we have in zone 9b Texas Gulf Coast? What size of pots are you using? My potted plants are single plants... I don't know about root competition or too much soil up around the base of my shrub/plants. 🤔 Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and ideas with us. This was a great video. 😊
Aww thanks Jennifer!! I believe the phlox is a zone 3-8 as a perennial, and the lemon cypress grows in zones 7-10. I definitely think the cypress would work beautifully any I’d still try the phlox it will take part sun to sun, so maybe a little afternoon sun protection may be a good idea. 🥰 Regarding the pot smashing, I’ve seen so many people this. I usually just use full soil, but this method seems to work for a lot of gardeners too.
Brian's pot is my pick .it's very vibrant. Claudia's pot is beautiful too.
Aww thanks Larry!! His container really is so beautiful! 🤩
I love how these ideas are ‘non typical ’ fall arrangements. Although the mums that appear in all the nurseries and big box stores signal the start of fall, they don’t last very long. 🌸🇨🇦

Anytime someone is going to Bauman Farms - I'm here for the ride! Great video and plant container arrangements, Claudia and Brian.
Thanks Mary!! I always have such a great time at their nursery/farm. 😊
Wish I lived close. I did get to visit this month but didn't visit the plants as I knew I couldn't bring back to Texas on the plane. Everything is so beautiful.
Aww Kathy maybe next time? I wish there was an easy way to transport plants state to state on flights. 😊
My goodness what a spectacular garden center I wish I lived nearby
Aww me too Jackie! They are amazing! I always have such a great time visiting their garden center. 🥰
Both are absolutely beautiful. Love watching BaumanFarms videos. Thank you for sharing. 🍁
Thanks Vicki! I always have a great time at their nursery, and Brian is just the best! 🥰
@@InTheGardenWithClaudia wish I lived closer. Texas is a long way. ☺️
Love his arrangement! Going to try and copy it. Thanks for sharing
Yes please do! It was so fun putting them together. 🥰💗
Ooooooooh! To have such wonderful resources!!! Beautiful!!

You guys made it quite difficult to choose they both are beautiful I can't choose one over the other 😂❤❤❤
Me either!! I loved them both so much! 🤩
I really like them both, but Claudia's grabs me for the strappy grass element. Great demonstration y'all!
Aww yay! Thank you so much, we both had such a good time planting, I’m super motivated to plant some of my containers up. 🥰

Both are gorgeous but I think Brian’s has my vote as favorite fall variety colors! With the help of Claudia of corse lol 👏😊
lol I was totally trying to take credit for his beautiful creation. 😁 He just hit the nail on the head, I absolutely love his color combo too! 💕
That was fun , love your fall pots . Great ideas ,thank you
Thank you so much! Fall containers are always so fun, especially putting them together with friends. 💗🥰
Thank you so much for this video! Just got back from Bauman’s today and bought all the things you and Brian recommended. So inspiring!
Yay!!! How did planting go? I loved all the plants we played with. 🥰

I love both containers but if I could only have one I would pick the one you made Claudia.
Aww thanks Jennie! 🤗💗
Love the containers!!!!❤
Thanks! I do to! I felt like I needed to rush home and plant mine up. 😆
Very fun! Like them all! Too hard to choose!
❤
Ahh I know, same here Deb!! 😊
So beautiful a very enjoyable video
Thank you so much!! We had such a great time! 🥰🥰
I truly love both pots.. only choosing 1 - I pick Claudia 😁 love the color palette.

I really like both😊

@@InTheGardenWithClaudiaI am now retired. I was a librarian(very unconventional) always doing something to draw kids in and a volleyball coach.
Great video! Love the containers.
Thank you so much! It’s always fun bouncing ideas off each other when it comes to containers. 🥰

WOW!!!! Beautiful container recipes 💕 the lemon cypress container was my favorite… no the artichoke recipe… no lemon cypress😂😂😂💕💕
I mean his container was stunning, so I get it! 😆🥰💗
This was fun! You are both just wonderful! The containers are beautiful!
Aww thank you! It was fun planting together. 🥰
Beautiful
Aww thank you! We had a blast planting these containers!
Super fun 😍 what a great day to learn and create. I have the fall 🍂feels with your gorgeous containers.
Aww thanks!! Honestly I have not been in the fall mood at all until Brian and I started plant shopping and putting these containers together. Now I am embracing it. 🥰🧡
Rain is a gem 💎 love love 💕 love 💗 his containers! Just discovered this channel through Janey 🎉🌸🌻
Isn’t he the best!? Honestly he is so down to earth and humble, and such a plant expert. His whole team and family and Bauman’s are truly special.
I so agree with getting perennials for fall containers as this season is so short in our area and economically it makes sense to transfer these plants to the landscape to enjoy the following years. 🥰🌸🇨🇦

Yes, that’s is an excellent idea to show off the pumpkins! I may need to use the idea on some of my upcoming containers! 🥰💗
Pretty Pretty Pretty , thanks guys

lol I love this so much, you are my kind of gardener!! 🤗🥰 And you’re so right the more the better when it comes to plants! 😆
I vote for Brian's container
His really is so stunning and perfectly layered. 😍
Yea Never heard of Bauman's and I can drive there in about an hour for a fun Saturday. And buy plants which I love to do and no tax in Oregon as I live in WA.
Oh you should Pamela! I think it’s worth the drive. You should go during their harvest festival, there’s a lot of great activities and treats! 🥰

I searched all summer for papyrus. Only found one. It looked so great by my fountain.
Oh that sounds like a perfect spot for it! I didn’t see as many as I did the previous year, but hoping we see more next year. 🥰
Beautiful choices! But I would vote for Claudia’s because of the silvery textures
Aww thank you!! 💗 I LOVE silvers in the fall. Golds and yellows are expected, but I think the silver brings a cool tone that I love in the fall. 🤩
I can’t wait to visit from WA.
Aww fun! Yes you will absolutely love it, it’s worth the stop for sure. 🥰
It’s a Tie😊😊
Thank you!! Honestly I loved Brian’s choices, I think we both win too! 💗

I love abroviataes, so Corey gets my vote

These look like summer pots.
With all the bright colors, they kind of do! 🤩
Probably could see the containers better if the flags were removed ? Lovely selections though. 🌞
Aren’t they? I loved seeing Janey’s and Brian’s selections. Darn, I wish they had them removed. 🥴
What hardiness zone is lemon Cyprus? I have a lemon cypress but I thought that it was not Hardy to my zone. I am zone 6b.
Ooh 😮 so they are zone 7-10. How long have you had yours?
