Why do you want to move back to NJ?

Real trees, lakes, beaches, culture, better schools, change of seasons and proximity to NYC. I miss the ‘Rules don’t apply’ attitude. Downsides are the traffic, tolls, snow and higher cost of living.

I from the DC area. I moved to north Phoenix many years ago. I moved back home to take care of my parents. I really miss Arizona, especially the weather. The traffic and cost of living here are horrible, similar to NYC. I get the culture thing. The spring and especially the colorful fall seasons are amazing so I get that to. Do you ever just bounce to California or Mexico to get your beach fix? I get the drive is much farther than if you lived in Jersey where the beaches are much closer.

Yes, it’s a 5 hour drive (one-way) to the beach. Prescott AZ is 20 degrees cooler and has real trees, but it’s a 2 hour drive North.
