YEAH THE SWEEPING GUY POSTED!!!
I'm glad he has branched out into sprinklers
I don’t know if I’m getting old and that’s why I enjoy this new content, but either way keep it up man, you’ll always get a like from me
Yup! Same here!
Same here
I know it's because i'm old that i enjoy these vids so much lol
Garrett by the end of this year will become the ultimate landscaper
The sweeping landscaper
Definitely recommend sketching a diagram and making notes as you uncover stuff. Don't rely on remembering what you uncovered today for tomorrow....like the Wonder Wax recipe😂
Garrett this is the most important thing you will read about your irrigation system and pretty much anything about your entire house.. go down to county, nothing like that gets built without permits and approval from the city, and they should have the blueprints and all the records for your stuff (to a degree) and it will help tremendously! i think people forget about that little hidden part of things!
You don't need a permit to install a sprinkler system lol there is no plans.
Sooo, I don’t normally watch content like this.. BUT I genuinely found this video so very entertaining! You’re entertaining no matter what the topic is. Cant wait till you solve the puzzle, so Keep it comin 😂
Seriously, this whole new house series is such a great adventure to follow.
Backyard Skatepark now has its own "Find the Valves" Tony Hawkesque task
😂😂😂 love it
I never thought I'd be so interested in sprinkler content
Side note: you seemed frustrated about there not being a resolution the the video, i still enjoyed this as much as the others because your working on the house. just something satisfying about seeing gradual progress 🤷♂
I agree!
facts, rome wasnt built in a day so
Why am I so invested in this series. Like i keep craving the next project video
Yo bro! Do yourself a favor and once you add the 7th elec valve, switch out that controller in the house for a Rachio 8 Zone. It will make your life easier for not much $. Less than $200 and you'll have automated control based on weather / wind etc. Think like a Nest A/C Controller but for your yard, it will even like water zones based on what plants / trees are in that area. Its cool tech and saves me a lot of money by not over watering. Also you can go out of town and control it from your phone. Super easy to install.
bro house renovations for some reason are DOING it for me. skate and renovate. BAM
I cant wait until the clean up part of this. Raking all the debree and power washing the stones to get a better view at what you're working with would be a solid video.
Soon to be first time home owner here, been loving the content and I can tell from the comments more people do. Dont be so harsh on yourself Garrett, we're learning new stuff together with you
Dont be too hard on yourself about your content you're doing great! just because this content isnt what your general audience is interested in doesnt mean you arent helping someone learn something or helping someone feel less alone in dealing with similar issues. youre doing great!
The time is not wasted, you got to learn new stuff and spend time outside. Im enjoying this "new" Garret, ho is living the same things as me at the same time😅🙏. You deserve all the blessing in your life. Love from Finland
I watched a twenty minute rant on irrigation, it was very entertaining
i honestly love these kinds of videos!! its just so nice to watch something real and honest, 0 clickbait!
Can't wait to watch you become a master puzzle solver after this gets fixed haha
Really enjoying this content, I think you should look at these videos as if they are a series rather than like a singular movie, we understand that their can't be a resolution at the end of each video and that's what keeps us coming back for me, we want to see progress over time, so I wouldn't worry about feeling like you failed in an episode! This is a journey that I am excited to see continue :)
As a man from Ireland where it rains 85% of the year sprinkler systems are something I don’t know a thing about so it’s nice to get a bit of insight
May your water lines overflow with grace and your crops well nourished throughout all seasons, make the waterline series happen! You tha goat garret
Classic sprinkler system dilemma... Oh, how I can relate.
Garrett , please keep posting content no matter what it is idk about other people but I am loving the new house and the moving in / getting settled stage
I've said it before, love the new homestead!!! So chill...
You should hire a surveyor and have them find and map out the lines, etc and then you can go from there.
Low key one of my favorite videos of the new house and I feel so invested in solving this mystery
Sparklers and replacing to connecting underneath the waterline of the garden and solving the puzzle in the garden
You know life is nothing but adulthood when you're watching a video on sprinklers and plumbing while mopping the kitchen floor
Make sure you check the wiring on the timer. It may be capable of 6 zones but only a few of them are actually hooked up. That will give you a better idea how many zones you have.
I wouldn’t expect a final product every video with content like this. Def a part 1-? Type of thing. But I’m here for it.
20:55 these were my exact words earlier in the video😂 it already sucks as an electritian re wiring through the walls without causing unnecessary damage. i couldn't imagine replacing pipes that have been forgotten about through an entire 3 acres.
I love the Content recently my guy! Started watching your vids a few years ago when i started skating and still love the skating content but now i couldnt be more intrigued in these simple things you do around your house. The way you talk about the sprinklers and stuff makes it sound like some kind of murder mystery and i couldnt be more interested in it. Also since the life over here in germany seems so different from yours (never even seen a sprikler in real life) i could not have more fun watching someone do such mundane things. Keep it up :)
Imma start by saying I love the new videos they remind me of when I first started watching you. But a little feed back.... If you filmed the process of you doing/learning it it's informative and exposure to the task. We watch the videos because we feel we relate or think your cool so content with you in it is still enjoyable weather it's fixing your house ,cars, skateboarding, fingerboarding , there is a lot of content and it's cool to watch someone else learn because you learn with them any way I hope you keep these style videos I enjoy them
You need to draw out a map of all the water lines so you don’t forget
sweeping content pls
How quickly us sweeping content people have been forgotten. Not to mention “look at that view though” ??!!
As far as the irrigation system goes, if that was all installed at the same time the landscaping and stuff was done, it might be worth going to the city/town your in, and seeing about pulling the previous permits for your property.
I would imagine that was a several thousand dollar job, between caping off all the sprinklers, and plumbing all of the new irrigation. With it being California, I bet they had to pull a permit for the job.
If you can get the permit, it should have the contractors details in it, which you could then call them and have them come out, and at least give you an idea about what they did. That would at least give you some sort of working knowledge as you go into repair it.
Just a thought anyways, I love the content and the new place, Congrats Garrett.
As someone who doesn't know the first thing about sprinklers and irrigation, that was an interesting 20 minutes and I'm invested now
Determined to see this irrigation process all the way through!
Id just run some new lines and some stronger sprinkler heads, also something I wouldn't do myself but i enjoy your enthusiasm and effort will get rewarded !
Isn't there a specialist or something that can come out and figure out the problem? I applaud your dedication. I would be so confused and get so annoyed trying to figure it out lol.
The Gardener Garrett Ginner ! Welcome to the club bro 😂
This is a really cool video. It's nice to see you learn and make progress, and it also tees up future videos on the project. You might need to rent an excavator or hire some help with the digging.
what do you mean the internet doesnt care, we care as much as you do where these pipes go & all the upcoming trench and pipe / irrigation content
Personally enjoy this type of content more and more as a homeowner myself. Doesn’t matter if it has a resolution immediately. It’s about growth and learning anyway. I will continue to watch wether it’s skating, drifting, or home renovations.
This happened to me when I moved into my new home 2 years ago except my home’s irrigation and hvac were SHOT and had to jackhammer the driveway to replace mains and pipes
I never thought I'd ever find myself so invested in a sprinkler system😂
I’m disappointed that I didn’t get any sweeping haha
Oh were watching Garrett. Even Chris Robert's was saying how interested he's been on your new house videos. :)
I genuinely got hyped for Garrett when Chris mentioned his series on the podcast. Super cool.
How fun! Learning… and bringing things to life again! Cool process. Really nice property.
I love this kind of content. It's hard to put into words, but it is like relaxing and almost like you binge watch your favorite show, always waiting for the next episode. Keep it up! :)
Bro I absolutely loved this video lol. Try hitting up one of the youtuber lawncare guys. Cleetus works with The Lawn Care Nut I’m sure theres someone near you!! Keep it up dude love these videos, feels like a homie I get to catch up with everyday
7:20 tbh I’m super confused but you’re figuring it out and I’m just along for the ride and ready to celebrate with its fixed 🥳😂
Nice problem solving dude, def keen to see the end result 👍🏻
I’m here for it Garrett stay at dawgie!! Always sun after the rain.
We gave up on our old irrigation and just put landscape rock where the grass was and hand water everything else.
I’m only 15 minutes in and I’m so invested in getting this solved
Loving the gardening and seeing the progression! The propery is gonna look sick!
Love the changeup in content Garrett! Maybe other people watching are going through something similar and you give them an answer they didn't expect! :)
I’ve been having similar issues and my basement flooded because mine didn’t turn off overnight.
I was a day away from listing it as a rental after 8 months of finishing it, so I can 110% relate to having to do work and see little to no progress.
The plus side is the knowledge gained from the time spent. Thats how I justify it anyways 😂
I hope you drew a diagram of where all the valves and lines go. 😂
Dude I love the vibes from these vlogs makes my day I really do love the content you put out 🩵
i struggle with sprinklers but getting everything working is so fulfilling
The best thing I think you can do to keep the irrigation is to start using. self healing line stop putting in any more pvc lines
It may have been mentioned or you may already know, but make sure your sprinkler system is goes through a garden meter and not your house's water meter.
From top ramen noodle hair man, to landscaper, I did not see that coming 😂😂
Much love since 2015 Garrett ❤
I have a strange urge to grab a leaf blower and tidy up that landscaping!
There doesn’t need to be a resolution to your videos. The journey is fun.
Honestly so crazy that we just always see those random white pvc pipes and sprinklers then don’t even think twice about them.
i think im getting old because i just got some pizza and watched this entire video to the last second and enjowed every bit of it, you need a reality show
This video made me more willing to work on my own house. Thanks.
Bro Garrett idk why but I find ur content so interesting and entertaining and I love it when u make the longer videos too.
Like most said, this was entertaining and interesting to watch, glad to watch your new journey! And .... Look At That VIEW DOH!!
Can’t wait to see Garrett Shopping for plants if he plans too 😁
This is so funny. I was just trying to fix my sprinkler today and I have the same control center thingy 😂😂
You could've put the tony hawk sound effect when you found the valves lol. Loving the content bro!
Have you considered an air compressor to blow high pressure through the pipes? I wonder if that would be any help. Then you could at least hear it better than trying to hear water leaking? just a thought.
Progress is progress. It might be small or it might be big. Sometimes it takes a while to finish. Great video
This is the most manic youtube video I've ever seen and I'm so here for it.
I’m very interested because I’ve just been trying to repair mine , it’s challenging for sure. Love this content 👍
Im in the east coast, enjoying planter buckets..enjoiying your content
love the vlogging ... no matter what you do ^^ ... missed the sweeping content :P :))))
Sounds ruff man, I love the videos though! Idk how the sprinklers work, but it looks like you about got it!
I'm so here for this content. Past few months have been fire
Also since your lines are so long and have many, if you continue to have pressure problems. They make pressure boosters for sprinkler lines.
7:00 that could be your master valve that controls waterflow throughout the system, could be why you never got any pressure or water turning on some of the other zones/valves
ngl if they put all of them together in a valve box that wouldve made it so much easier lol
anyway to contact the previous owner's of the home and trying to get some more information?
just rebuild the water stuff. start with a small corner and than add new areas once you have it running well. this old stuff will just make you problems
My console also shows 6 stations for my sprinklers. But I do not have 6 stations. I have a small property, with only 4 stations. Might check and see, but it’s possible you don’t actually have 6 stations on the property.
It is kinda interesting to watch it so please keep up the plumbing content!
Hey, not everything can be solved in a minute dude. You got life giving water to a very thirsty yard by the end. Take the win bro. Keep it up
Trial and error Baby! You can do it!!!
From battling skate tricks to battling home owner duties
17:57 this project could be an on-going series 💧
Time to dig a hole and feed some plumbing into a pool. Also separately dig another hole and make a skate bowl.
Garrett, I'm Loving every min of this, it's like I'm living it with you i'll never be able to have such a nice home and to watch you with yours is like having my own. this is great content i look ffw to your videos as soon as I'm done with my cleaning and taking care of my pets when i get up in the morning lol yeah i just woke up 2 hours ago lol i was up all night making a stringer lol
Definitely been enjoying the Minecraft irl as much as skating to be honest
Ahh the joys of being a homeowner 🤣Loving the content garrett ! Now you just need some chickens lol
This was entertaining, love this content you’re pushing out consistently bro.!
This content is way better then just only skating. keep it up!
8:58 to 9:10 had me dying hahaha. Great video man keep it up!
