If you want emotional you can go into hard rock and stuff. You can hear emotion through the instruments and the music actually being played. Sometimes (or a lot of times) the song will include some emotional yelling, but also involves actual lyrics and maybe even singing. Its a much better genre espescially when calling it MUSIC.
Screamo is a genre of music that is classified by emo lyrics and undertones that are played with what amounts to metal in the background. Silverstein is screamo, Hatebreed is probably the furthest thing from screamo you can get. I would classify it as post-hardcore. Read the content of the lyrics of any of their songs and you'll see just how wrong you are.
