2-stroke tech test: Yamaha YZ125 with a Rekluse Manual TorqDrive clutch

- Squeezing every ounce of power from the motor and getting to to the ground, ride after ride, is crucial on a high-revving 125 two-stroke motocross bike. And with the clutch getting lots of abuse, it's one component not to be skimped on.
MotoHead's Dave Willet, who raced Yamaha YZ125s to British championship titles, fits the all-manual Rekluse TorqDrive manual clutch pack into a 2020 YZ to see how easy it is to fit, whether it offers and real performance upgrade and whether you should consider one.
With the latest technology packed into the clutch, the Rekluse is very different to stock. With more clutch plates, stiffer springs, basket sleeves to eliminate wear and the new Rekluse oil, it's a test all bike racers should watch!
Frictions/Steels and springs - GREAT VIDEO!!!
I just ordered one of these clutches for my 01 yz , I can’t wait to get it
hey friend did you manage to install rekluse on your bike?
I have a Yamaha yz 04 125, but I can't find a kit for it
@@brunodemetrio6835 rms-2807004 is the part number mate , awesome bit of gear!
Love the vids on the yz 125 I have one and I love it!
This guy is outstanding!!!
Does this clutch enable the bike to idle while in gear with the clutch out at a stop or no?
No. Gotta get one of the auto applications. See EXP or CX, there's another too I believe.
Think of this as a direct competitor to Hinson's Billetproof product.
Good video
Entendi tudo que vc falo👍
With the price of the recluze you can buy 10 yeras worth of clutch kits
You should buy a tutor for spelling lessons

So much BS.....and this channel will NEVER be honest.....
This channel is just a AD for whatever the product he "test".
A real test points out the NEGATIVE stuff also.
Like how hard it is on your transmission, high cost (really EXPENSIVE).and will it give the average rider ANY advantages or is it just cool factor.
The spacer is NOT there to get more oil in , its the because the clutch pack gets tiny bit wider and will tuch the inside of OEM cover.
Is it worth the money?
I know the answer for me because i have this one and tested the hinson, but do you know after watching this?
@@numbzinger350 Good for you, and thank you for your answer.
Iam not trying to just bash this channel but i cant keep quiet on stuff i know is shady.
Alot of MX magazines become like this in recent years, and ive read for 25 years so i noticed the shift from costumer/rider focus, to just sell more for advertisers.
I know its hard tomes for magazines andit seems easy and quick money for now, , but if they loose theirr core values at will hurt more in the end
Cheers from Sweden
I personally would never put an automatic clutch on a 125cc. Kind of ridiculous. Put a hinson basket in there and run manual clutches. I use to go through a clutch every week on my factory CR125 but thats how you ride a factory 125 with no low end
@@user-un5my5bw4j yeah for a 125 the whole thing is to use the clutch and gears like a pro to go fast 😁💪
