Loved your videos so far, kindly explain how to get accommodation for a first trip to the Uk, I prefer the shared apartment option, how do I go about it? do I stay in a hotel for the first night or stay in the hostel for week before getting a shared apartment. Thanks
Thank you for this very helpful video Chidera . Quick question, which reliable websites, social media platforms did you look in for accommodation? Preferably ones that show places in other cities too.
Your videos are really helping my brother and I with our plans for when we get to Portsmouth. My only issue now is accommodation. Finding the right one.
You need to visit Peckham ones again for us ooo, we want to feel that naija vibes in UK.. I noticed that is the video that has the highest number of views......... You are doing well Chidera
Thanks Chidera for your always informative video. A couple of questions and suggestion for you. Will you suggest a non bill inclusive for someone in a studio or a bedroom flat ( not shared). Also I think you didn't talk about furnished and unfurnished apartment. Please I had like you to do a video on family Accommodation for students with dependants.
You could stay in a bed and breakfast for like a week. These are usually cheaper than hotels but that also depends on the location and then you use that week to find and view houses. You can find a room in a week. But if the bed and breakfast option is expensive for you then you can risk paying for a room before you arrive here and hope that what you saw is what you’d get in reality . I hope this helps😊
This is very apt and helpful... Right now I am still trying to sought this out, I am interested in a private apartment out side school, but then on arrival..where can I stay for the few days before this is settled?
You can book a bed and breakfast for a couple of days. It’s a bit cheaper than regular hotels or you could stay with someone you know in that city for a few days. If a bed and breakfast will be expensive for you, and if you don’t know anyone in the city, you can decide to take the risk and pay for a private accommodation before coming here
Hy, found you today, already subscribed because you're delivering vital information to people like me, really appreciate that. I've a question please, and like you said, you read comments, so I've high hopes you would reply, if you suggest that for private accomodation that we don't pay before arriving, but arriving first hand and doing a house review. Where can we then lodge for the time being please. Thanks in advance
You can stay with someone that’s if you have a friend, family or acquaintance or you can stay in a bed and breakfast for a few days. This is usually cheaper than a hotel. But if this is an expensive option for you, you can decide to pay before coming
Hello Chidera. Thank you for this video. All your videos have been so helpful to me. Please which reliable sources or agents will you recommend for getting private student accommodation in the UK? Also, why did you decide to stay off-campus?
Oyindamola Williams Hi ya, simple reason is cost... a week’s rent in Uni accommodation starts at £170 which is £680 a month for a cheap one. I pay £95 pounds a week where I stay so I’m sure you can see the difference. I’ll recommend spareroom.co.uk
Thanks for this video. U advised we shouldn’t pay for apartment until we arrive Uk, where can one stay if the person arrives and wats the rate of their hotel in case one wants to lodge?
Hi Chidera ! Thanks for the video soooooooo helpful . Do U have any idea how long it’d take to rent a place after I arrive the Uk and I’m staying at a bnb?
Hello, I'm currently waiting to be called for a visa interview for a one year study at BGU Lincoln. Please is it possible to find an off campus single room accommodation at less than £60 a week?
Hey my lady! To open an account I need utility bills and tenancy agreement in my name but the ones available are in my father's name. (I'm staying with him for now). What can I do about this. Is it possible to have utility bills in both our names.
Oh Hi Gbenga, I really wouldn’t know. I’d just advise you go to the bank and let them know you’re staying with your dad. They’ll be better positioned to tell you if you could use a tenancy agreement in his name
Hi Chidera, thanks for the video. I just got my admission to Kingston University, London. Please what’s the average university accommodation fee outside the school apartment or a cheaper accommodation? Please is there a way I can send a Dm personally to you for info.. I will be coming to London by August
Hi Chidera, I'm new and I do love what you do. I'm currently an undergraduate in UNN, here in Nigeria. I wanna do my masters in the UK and I've been making my research. Do they offer medicine as a graduate course in your school? How do I get to have a chat with you outside UA-cam please.
Hello Chidera, I will be coming over for my masters program in January and I just want to ask if most postgraduate students live in the school halls or in Rented apartments outside school?
Thanks for the video. But I am not required to provide details of my accommodation during my visa application? If I decide to get to the UK first before I look for accommodation, how do I fill in the section that will ask for the place I will stay. Great videos by the way, love the humor too. Keep it up.
Hi Jeffery, you could fill in the University accommodation . But make sure you know the different university accommodations so if you’re asked which particular one and why you picked that one you can answer. And if asked you’ll let them know you haven’t paid for it but you’re in the process. Then it’s a simple thing of when you arrived here you changed your mind and ended up in private accommodation. I hope this makes sense
Thanks..this is super helpful but something isnt quite clear, you mentioned that you pay PCM and your tenancy agreement is 10 months which you said you can stay more than the tenancy agreement so what do you mean by renewing and that you have to move out??
Yes I can stay more than but it has to be another 10 months at minimum? You get me? And since my stay won’t be up to 10 months, I have to move to a place with a lesser minimum stay requirement
U r very honest and Sensible I like your videos Thanks
So informative... there was that point you cracked me to the earth.
Thanks for being so helpful. I'm getting answers to so many questions I had.

Fidelis Chinagorom you’d have to find this out for yourself, for the city you’re going to. You’d find this information on google😊
