i can see both felt dead inside
Especially Fabi
Chess players are always dead inside lol its one of the key element to become one of the best in world
@@mikeog2617 hikaru has that streamer spirit though
1:05 “I’m very very sorry” last thing Ian said to Fabi.
1:07 Fabi also replied “it’s my fault” as others mentioned in the comment.
These two are pure class.
Edit: for timestamp
under-rated comment.
Yes and Fabi replied "My Fault."
that hits so hard :/
You missed fabi's reply. He said "no, its my fault"
Why they are saying they’re sorry? I mean, sorry for themselves or to the other?
The Top 4 finished within half a point. Absolutely brutal
Fabi 24/7 smiling face. He is smiling even when he isn't.😂😂😂 But the best game of the tournament to end it. Amazing game.
This guys always smiles 😂 and Gukesh almost never smiles
fabi has a joker face I think
@@UnlovedUnwanted bros not gonna smile until he wins the championship, bros on a mission
And hikaru literally doesn't care at all@@UnlovedUnwanted
I was there in the balcony when everyone started applauding. A spontaneous expression of appreciation.
My man nepo. Great respect for him
While Fabi held Nepo for going for a tie break, Vidit is actually the unsung hero for the Indian GMs. 😂
Defeating hikaru twice. Had both games been drawn , hikaru was the winner
@@barun9665 This same thought has invaded my mind haha, but I mean hikaru admitted the first game was a disaster, but at least a draw in the second game, we would have gotten tiebreaks.
There are a lot of ifs and buts if gukesh won against alireja this game wouldn't have mattered so forget about the ifs and buts
Gukesh lost against alireja a slight advantage game by one move blunder,....He was unlucky, fabi was unlucky last game but hikaru lost
How you can say IF@@barun9665
@@shashanknag383 Nope, a draw is never an unlikely result. Now, a couple of wins in succession against Hikaru is wild.. unless you're Magnus.
Losing 0 games and still not winning is impressive
In three candidates he is invict.
Anish Giri probably has something to say about that one
He lost twice. 1/2-1/2 against Abasov and especially 1/2-1/2 against Abasov were two huge losses for Nepo.
@@dreadpirateroberts2259was it 2016 cycle or 2018 i don't remember exactly
@@destroyeranmol1124 it was 2016
Very happy for Gukesh ❤
But feel for both nepo and fabi😢
They both are shattered and feeling dead inside😢
That is life
@@youtubecensoringcomments7427 The thing is, it’s not actually life. It’s something we humans made purely for our entertainment. It’s a situation we created and we forget about the grief and sadness because we were entertained. The players themselves will blame themselves and almost never realize that they are slaves to something they voluntarily consented and participated.
@@eufrosniad994 noo. That is part of life losing and frustration... Lol
@eufrosniad994 every job or career is like that. Most people doing 9 to 5 jobs are also slaves to their boss.
Ian Nepomniatchi : the undefeated in candidates
Clearly understand the sadness in Nepo's face. Didn't lose any math. But still out of context.
Lose*
Loose is the opposite of tight:)
they both gave their all in this game, nobody was willing to relent. champions for a reason
no, Nepo never had a chance
@@Klara906090 he saved himself from completely losing position, never easy
Nepo was determined to finish this candidates lossless 🥶🥶
He will make it in 2 years.
@@franciscoespejo767Well, he is not automatically qualified now anymore so he has to start playing for real aside from the Candidates
every participant feels the same thing, you feel at the end ... That's feel more pain indeed ... 😢
They played really well. Was watching at 5:30 in the morning with all the excitement.
Fabi is going to hate the analysis.
Don't we all hate Stockfish when we analyze our games?
@@u.v.s.5583 dont worry u will get used to it
This game will haunt Fabi's memories for perhaps the rest of his life.
"I am very sorry"
"It was my fault"
😢 💔
Bro I have alot of Respect and Love for both the Players , They both Played very very Good
Although I am from India, but I am fan of Nepo and Hikaru they made chess exciting rather than going for boring draws with safer Play. And congratulations to Gukesh who kept his calms and shows immense maturity at his age.
You can't always eye for a win in chess, it's entertaining for us as viewers but for them it's a grand title on the line. The candidates will have to eye out a draw whenever it's most needed.
@@Akpihs23 yea, look at Hikaru and Vidit lol. If Hikaru had settled for couple of draws against Vidit, he would be the winner.
@@eufrosniad994 that is even more true for Vidit. He won three matches against number 2 and four seeds, only to lose matches agsinst lower seeds. He could have drawn three matches that he lost from winning positions or because of trying too much.
How does Ian transform from a 30 year old to a 50 year old and back so seamlessly?
Brutality of chess
Nepo's reaction are hilarious as ever 😅
No, man... I used to criticize Nepo bcoz of his past behaviours but this time, that reaction broke my heart. He seemed sad to the core.
they are not something to laugh at but hey, I can't stop anybody from doing anything
Well played Fabiano....
So that's what shattered hopes and dreams sound like
Fabi is going to have nightmares about this game, absolutely sad. 3 good opportunities to end it, never in my life have I seen anything near as bad as this
It just wasn’t his day. I think it also shows the cruelty of sports in general. It’s worse than having people fight animals in a colosseum in a way. In sports, you have people dedicate their lives to training, and then have them go through pure mental anguish over the win or loss in the game or sport. It’s mental torture.
@@eufrosniad994 …can we safely assume you are a super gm? Probably not…sit down!!!
@@user-nc5wt7jr6g It’s like you did not even read what I wrote. As per what I wrote, if I were a super GM, I would be a hypocrite. As per the implied assertion that I need to be a super GM to comment, that is obviously untenable since you yourself are likely not a super GM. Heed your own advise if you truly believe it, but we all know you do not even believe your own advise.
Great game!
ian such a knight hearth,
he should been last year champion if not the blunder to one step away being crowned,
yet he always apologize to match when opponent winning but make a blunder
even they are compete to each other its a small world, meet over and over again, make them friend in some way
That’s a tough result closest run I’ve ever seen
Если не суждено, значит не суждено.
Ian is such a class act. He was winning this right through to the penultimate round and yet still has the grace to apologise to Fabiano for taking away his chance...
Chess is brutal.
Nepo is a class act , feels sad for fabi though...
to the edge of victory.
you can feel their pain
+5 winning that ended up in a draw and knowing it's going to be against unmotivated deteriorating Ding
that's really heart breaking
Kinda feeling bad for Fabi he was so close to winning
Fabi had that game won 4 different times but didn't see the winning moves
The thing is ian played it always safe.
He drew more games than anyone
They will be at the candidates next time. And I dont think Mr Liren is gonna be that easy, hes still a super GM after all, plenty of time to prepare and recover from everything.
Chessboard's fierce dance,
Nepo and Fabi draw, yet still,
Gukesh reigns supreme.
This is not haiku.
White shirt on Nepo.
Abasov came in and drew.
White funeral, Ian.
Fabi could win but he in pressure cant think😅
It would have been nice if ian last yrs championship, then this yr hikaru should have won candidates, winning championship next yr, then the youngsters can start winning candidates in the future after.
Am I the only one who can see that Ian is really crying at his desk? Ian's team of assistants made a major mistake by not finding a super-uneasy start for Ian to beat Abbasov.
at least hikaru gave them a chance... fabi and nepo dragged themselves into that long, heartbreaking draw 😅
The draw where both loses😢
Gukesh was clapping the loudest.
It was so nerve-wracking....
I would love to see any of them would have won the candidates and play in the world champion. Them have been a champion if Magnus could just give way for them😅😅😅
so the most Exciting part of the game was not the end of the chess game but the people clapping? how sad
It's DVs D now who will be the real double DD
D&G > DL. World youngest champion for sure.
@@dzungphan2665i am also rooting for him but you can never be sure
Gukesh should thank Vidit for turning into a kryptonite!
Will Nepo be relegated to second place for the rest of his life?
Why did nepo said sorry?
He knew fabi had the advantage in the end. So fabi couldve won.
They both felt like there was an opening somewhere, and Nepo probably thought Fabi had the better advantage but because both of them are trying to win to challenge Gukesh, he had to defend as much as possible. But it resulted in a draw and both of them unable to challenge Gukesh, so he said sorry.
When did he say sorry timestamp pls
fabi was so very close to winning at like 4 or 5 points in the match, but he messed up move orders or moved pieces a little bit too quickly, blundering his advantage. Nepo also defended very well so lots of credit must go to him, but in doing so he stole the chance of tie breaks from Caruana
Around 1:05 @@Atim_Gaming
Who is here after samay raina video 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Fabi just bad luck
IAN IS GREATEST DEFENDER OF ALL TIME
Blunderuana
🇮🇳🤝🇷🇺
Nepo must have allowed Fabi to win
If it was a guaranteed draw can they do rock paper scissors instead the loser throws the game.
ok boys - party is over
.. now back to yo momma basement and may your chess (or whatever zefok once great game has become) always speak for itself
Theory: Nepo, Fabi, Hikaru drew because they think Liren will drop or be bought out so they can play for 2nd place. In particular, Nepo & Fabi think FIDE won't just choose Hikaru because on score tiebreakers.
But anyhoo THANK GOD THAT TRAITOR CHEATER HYPOCRITE HIKARU LOST. GOD BLESS INDIA 🇮🇳, GOD BLESS ISRAEL 🇮🇱, GOD BLESS RUSSIA 🇷🇺, GOD BLESS PALESTINE 🇵🇸, GOD BLESS UKRAINE 🇺🇦 AND GOD BLESS AMERICA 🇺🇲. GOOD JOB GUKESH VIDIT NEPO FABI FOR BEATING HIKARU! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Nepo had his chance to become world champion, but he failed against Ding. No one wanted a repeat of that match-up. All the best to Gukesh.
i wanted it
Caruana proposes the draw right at 0:01. Nepo should say "No draw! I resign!".
He's not supposed to resign in a dead equal position
Do you realize how much controversy and drama it would create?
Nepo fought for 6 hours that game. He was in losing position massively since the start but to still pull himself back up to a draw postion after 6 hours of calculations against a player like Fabi. No self respecting player could ever bring themselves to do that
That's unsportsmanlike conduct.
They both play very safe and boring all the tournament is only justice they don't go to the WC.
Media can create an artificial exciting narrative around this game but the truth is that they play chess with an old defensive mentality.
But maybe is not their fault: until the FIDE will keep a such horrible tournament format is understandable that player play in this way.
You're just wrong hahaha Nepo is known to not play the best moves to make the position hard to understand. That's aggressive chess, Caruana is solid and positional af, not defensive. I believe you're just repeating something you read online, and you should suggest changes in your comment because you give no explanation as to why this format "sucks", maybe repeating Magnus words? Do you understand why he believes that?
0head take
PLAY SAFE? Nepo took a big gamble so the game not become draw, but eventually it ran out of material so what more Fabi and Ian can do ? Both are playing for win, Hikaru game on the other hand is... i don't know why Hikaru play such a safe game against top seat Gukesh
all ok in your house kid?
fabi 🥲
