- This one takes the cake. I am hard=pressed to identify another song out there that I like more. This is such an important message and is so very inspiring. Gotta love this guy!
You’re getting a way better ear for rap! You did catch bars and doubles, it’s crazy to see your progression. Love this channel!
Thanks so much Eric!
he’s literally just reading rap genius lol comments like yours make me realize how easy it is to be a content creator nowadays

@@evergreen3623 That’s probably the best compliment I have received yet. Seriously! Commenters have advised that I go there, but I don’t want to spoil my view of the song. I also ask that commenters give me spoilers. These are my true reaction but I appreciate the compliment.
Great reaction bro. I WAS IN REHAB WHEN THIS SONG CAME OUT AND BEEN CLEAN EVER SINCE. THIS DUDE SAVED MY LIFE!!!!!
That's awesome!
Wow, MAN! I don't know u, but I know it takes tremendous strength to do. Proud of u brother. 💓

That is literally my single most favorite lyric of any Eminem song. *"I'ma be what I set out to be, without a doubt undoubtedly and all those who look down on me I'm tearing down your balcony!"*
Facts the word play within that whole line is so satisfying
In just 4 months' time, Eminem will be celebrating his 50th birthday, it's truly incredible what this man has achieved in his life so far, and maybe, just maybe we will be surprised with another album from him, I'm also looking forward to his RRHOF induction
It’s nuts I was a kid and he was my age when I found out about him roughly
Now I know how my parents felt when their favourite actors where aging and thought it was crazy
I’ll be celebrating my 23rd on October 3rd
I would love a surprise drop on Em's birthday
Well, he did have a surprise SNL appearance last night in a Pete Davidson sketch, and the last time he did that, he had a surprise drop a few weeks later. Maybe history will repeat and we’ll get a new album soon! 🤞And I’m hyped for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction!
@@Iamarthur Hey we share the same birth date! Only it'll be my 20th on the 3rd instead of my 23rd. Happy future birthday to us heh.
One of my favorite lyrics / doubles of all time. “You lied through your teeth, for that f*ck your feelings (pronounced it “fillings”) instead of gettin crowned, you’re gettin capped.” Such amazing word play, Em is a genius
He used a similar wordplay in Amityville: 'you can get capped after just having your cavity filled'
Which itself is a reference to Big Pun's verse on Twinz with Fat Joe:
'Like Amityville I drill the nerves in your cavity filling'
crazy tooth scheme 100%
And instead of getting Crowned (as a king) your just a Capt. (Captain)
@@risky7672 that would make it a triple... and it could even be a quadruple, as getting "capped" is a gangster way of saying being killed.
@@zoegartham312 Lol. I know that term.. I was just adding another layer of that scheme..
The "look" on his face when he makes his promise to the fans.....he looks so sincere & truly apologetic! No One is like him!!! Truly One of Kind!!!
The Relapse album he is talking about where he "ran them accents into the ground" is the album he considers his worst. Yet that was the album that had "Beautiful" on it which I think and many others as well it was one of his top 10 songs. So even at his worst he was making masterpieces like that
Word. As a South African, we don't really understand deeply what he says, so we just get and appreciate how he says it. So, Relapse was insane for me. I loved it.
@@mrvenombaba That's true. Coz I loved Relapse as well and I'm a Southie.
Gotta make sure you here the full version of beautiful though
That's one of my fav albums.
I kind of agree with him though i couldnt get into that album at all. i try every year to give it another chance but i just kind do it lol
"i had a chair that wasn't broken once" I had to laugh so hard. Great job, this is an amazing song. One of my favorites by him.
lol, thanks! Nice catch!
Man's flexin'...My chair's broken too, but I got it broken! lol
Don't apologize for enjoying. That's why we are here. It's like reliving the first time through watching your first time
hell yeah... when stans had their first time listening to em and exploring how much of a cool guy he is you always wanted to talk about that with a friend who feels the same in my case i had no one with such feelings ... that why i love to watch it
I really thought this is the BEST reaction video I've EVER seen. When he got up and clapped, I lost it! I wasn't alone when I saw this. I watched it TWICE! honestly, that was a first for me. We thought it was AMAZING. 👏 👏 👏 👏
This song helped me get sober and away from an abusive partner. I love this song. I've been sober since 2013, so almost 10 years now :)
That's wonderful!!!!!
Congrats! 🎉
Omg I was just listening to this an hour ago and was wondering…”hmmm I can’t remember if Larry has reacted to this one?”
An interesting note about this last verse, he begins with “it was my decision to get clean” talking about getting clean from the drugs and alcohol but he doesn’t curse on the entire verse keeping it “clean” as well
wow like a great little easter egg :-D
Nice one, its like with the song Remember Me…”I promised the critics not to say fuck it for 6 minutes”
I am german and i dont understand every reference but because of you i got such a better understanding of his songs which made me a bigger fan. Thank you so much for what you are doing!
Viel Danke!
@@larryshair Vielen Dank dir! Ich liebe deine Videos! Love from Germany!
This is the first video I came across where you said you were a Christian. I was surprised. I was raised pretty fundamentalist, so the people around me cared more about "following the rules" than Jesus' second commandment: to love others. Your series on listening to Eminem, seeing where he's coming from, and exposing yourself to the problems of the world and trying to relate to them has been so beautiful to see. Thank you.
Thanks so much. I've been pretty careful to not come across too strong and have hoped and prayed it's helped some.
The first time I saw and heard this I cried. I'm so proud of how far he has come in life- and with this song, he made me proud of how far I have come too. If I ever met him I think I'd just ask to give him a hug. Beyond that the only words I think I'd be able to utter would be thank you. This man has had a profound impact.
The crowned/capped line is actually a triple. His last album was going to be "King Mathers". He's referenced crowns/king in a few songs, but he's saying he's killing off that old persona and attitude with this album. King Mathers was capped (killed).
NICE!!!
@@larryshair Larry, you've got to react to 8 Mile (not the movie, the song). Now that you've watched the movie, that track will impress you even more. Thanks for all the great reviews!
Also missed the "fuck your feelings/fillings" double
@@MrD.. needed to say this
By that same token you can say its a sub toward Lil Wayne too... Wayne was king of rap music during this time period while Eminem was away/returning and Wayne has a "grill" aka diamond teeth fillings
Eminem's songs have been with me all my teenage years and have given me strength to get through hard times when I was very lonely. And even today as a grown woman, I know that in difficult times I can always find comfort in his words. Not Afraid will always be by far my favorite song. It goes so deep, it makes me cry every time I hear it.
100%! Same here!
One of the best things about Eminem is his uncanny ability to make you feel what he's feeling, and he often talks about things that are relatable in some ways to our own lives. It's super cool to see reactors go through those same feelings we all did when we first heard these songs.
2010 top song
2022 - Top Song lol
@@larryshair He's releasing a song soon called The King and I from the soundtrack of the Elvis movie 😎👑
I think you'd love this one. Eminem ft Sia - Guts Over Fear - This is the official music video.

Not Afraid Part 2
I was listening to it yesterday💯one of my faves too
good song nice choice
What about "Without Me"? Now that's something he should cover for sure
I went to rehab about 7 different times for everyone else. Until I did it for me it wasn’t gonna work. If you’re trying to get sober you gotta be selfish. I applaud anyone trying. Em and his music has helped me a shit ton. Coming up on 5 years in august. Do it for you. You’re worth it!!!!
LOVE that!
Man it's so heartwarming to see this Christian boomer tripping on Eminem music.
lol, thanks!
"That last Relapse cd was ehh, perhaps I ran them accents into the ground" Relapse (2009) was his first album since getting sober after spending a few years without putting music out. Lyrically it is very clever and complex especially when it comes to multisyllabic rhyme schemes and horror style themes. But he uses accents in most of the songs, that allowed him to make words rhyme that wouldn't actually rhyme but some people thought they were annoying.
and still his relapse cd did 800k buys in 1 week
Bruh i not gonna lie on the relapse refill bye em is the deluxe of relapse is my favorite eminem album rn i love everyone of his albums except revival and encore even tho there is like 2 or 3 of his greatest songs on encore
I love relapse
And now it’s consider such a great album but I always loved it from the beginning because I knew why he was using the accents
We all love Relapse here
I am 32 and Eminem is still my favorite artist. Been listening to him since his early days. I am blasting his music loud on my speakers when I drive by myself.
As someone whose trying to kick drinking this song is damn near a miracle on certain days.
My god your "THIRD DOUBLE" and me dying
Man, I just wanna say thank you for doing these videos. I came around when you started doing Em videos and since I've been watching, I find your videos have hit me at just the time I needed them. And this reaction is no different was waiting for you to get to this one.
Sobriety is an everyday thing. I quit for a year and relapsed and had to start all over. Everyday you have to decide to not drink. I know how hard it is man, keep ya head up and know you ain't the only one
I'm nearly a week sober myself, still trying to learn to live by the "one day at a time" mantra. A while back when I spent 2 weeks in rehab I was listening to both this and My Darling a lot to help keep me focused on what I was doing it for and who I wanted to be.
Thanks so much. I'm so glad to hear you have picked up the boxing gloves and are fighting to kick this thing. It can be incredibly difficult. "One day at a time" is so incredibly relatable on so many levels. Stay strong my friend!
im still here with it..yea it takes a support system to keep it going but this is a good spark
@@hellbillyjr i went six months being afraid 3 beers, worst hangover of my life
Man, this song was on my first phone, my mother ported all the songs on her phone to mine, it had not afraid, and love the way you lie, aswell as a few pop songs... I just remember falling in love with rap, listening to it on repeat then later my friend bluetoothed all his em songs to mine and had a massive library... this song got me through SO much as a kid. Unexplainable. damn, good times, loved this reaction thanks for sparking memories haha 😄 ❤
Nice! Thanks my friend!
That is a relatable experience.
Recently found your channel and I binged watched your Eminem reactions. Gotta say as a person who has followed his career from the beginning you're doing a incredible job. You're catching things a lot of people don't. I applaud you for your understanding and appreciation of this style of music. Continue your work good sir. And the "think you're getting crowded but capped line has another meaning, don't know if it's been pointed out. Another layer to it is, in the gang, music, any career, you think you're getting a promotion but you get fired. Because getting capped is slang for being murdered. So you think life is going good and better then something comes along and destroys or ends it. But you gotta battle on to overcome.
Thanks so much James!
Already commented once but I just absolutely love the appreciation you show for this man. You absolutely nailed the message of this song. You standing up and clapping is how I feel during every Eminem song. So wholesome my man. Love the content. Always makes me smile
Thanks so much!
lol i get excited and get chills along side you. ive heard these songs hundreds of times but i thoroughly enjoy your reactions man. thank you for your uploads.
Wow, thank you!
This is such a beautiful song, and when it came out I needed to her this message so it came at the perfect moment. Great pick I was so proud of him and stated to learn to be proud of me to
Nice!
Sobriety and recovery can be a tough battle but addiction is always harder and this masterpiece has helped me so much the last year. I've put it on play many a times right after getting up in the morning. Just a couple of weeks till my first full year of total sobriety! Eminem has translated a lot of recovery theme's like accepting that you have a problem, Being totally honest, higher power, making amends into his tracks. I love the guy
❤️❤️❤️
When you upload Eminem my day gets better! You’re literally what I look forward to!
lol, thanks!!!!
“When im gone” hit you more profoundly emotionally i believe. Both of which are ultimately about “fathers” and their responsibilities etc, more so “when im gone”. I also applaud you on the bar catching. Some songs are straight to the point, like an Anthem to his life. This one didnt need mucu critique. Just a song you sit back, listen and grab motivation.
Finally! Definitely one of his biggest songs, it’s one of his best as well imo.💯🔥
I haven’t ever tried to lay it out but to me, this is one of the key songs that really illustrates Ems journey and working on him. Lose yourself, Not Afraid, Higher are all on that list. Even Walk on Water, which was kinda around that turning point for him. I relate to his journey so much.
Like Chris, with my strict Christian background, I had labeled his music as something I shouldn’t listen to. So glad I learned differently
@@stephaniecornwell8766 I'd like your opinions on other hip hop artists, if you listen to any. I stopped listening to modern hip hop and rap and mostly play the classics (90s to 2010s) on repeat. Kendrick lamar always writes a beautiful story with his albums though. Imo, Kendrick is the best story teller, Kanye used to be the best in hip hop production, and em was the most relatable.
@@jcon2060 he’s really the only one I intentionally seek out. I still get into 50cent, Dre, I’ve cube, and some others when they come on because they remind me of my youth. I find a song or two I like from others. I’m not into all of Ems songs but relate to so many, he’s my go-to
I was so happy when you said you were a Christian who likes Em. He helped me get through so much before Christ saved me! Respect brother. I’ll subscribe!
He said “your lying through your teeth,…instead of getting crowned you’re getting capped” it’s actually a triple lol
This is also 1 of the first track he didn't have his hair bleached. May not me atlot to people, but he started being himself. Maybe a stretch, but I love it.
so proud that i grew up with this
Talking to my self is one of my favorite songs he did and 25 to life
Phenomenal reaction! I love how you REALLY listen to the lyrics & explain how you relate to them 💛 Eminem is the greatest of all time. I’ve been a life long fan of his and all I want is for him to be happy & for him to know how much his fans love and appreciate him. He’s changed lives for the better. Your reactions make our day too 💛
Thanks Morgan! Appreciate all your comments throughout this channel!
@@larryshair you have the best reaction channel & it makes me happy to see you succeed! I hope your channel continues to grow because you deserve it 💛
I’ve said the same thing about giving anything I could to just get to actually talk to Em. It’s his honesty, self awareness, and that he works on him.
I’d enjoy a conversation with you as well. You say everything I think. Imagine you’ve had your own tough journey To have come to be such a real honest person with empathy. I wish real people didn’t seem so rare.
BTW Em hit over 52 million subscribers on all the socials. I saw he has most of any hip hop/rap.
Well deserved for Em! Thank you for your very kind words!
One of Em's most powerful songs. If you like this one try giving "No Apologies" from him a chance, it's a super close second for me.
This song is so beautiful, is the best song of rap all time, Eminem is the best hip hop singers all time. So powerful
FANTASTIC reaction Chris!!! The joy u exude is delightful. Yes, this is a life changing anthem, as u said: resolved, focused, determined and authentic, that’s the genius of Eminem 🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
Thanks AJ! He really is pretty special!
I’m so glad you reacted to this song Chris! Be Not Afraid! Best Song you have ever heard! That’s Awesome. Feel no shame Chris We are here together Embrace It!
i had this song on repeat for months and years later it still resonates strong in my soul 💙💙💙
I hope Eminem sees your reactions to his music one day. I think it would make him happy to see someone go from not really liking rap as a genre in general, to giving him a chance and developing such an appreciation for Em’s skills and who he is as a person. He’s my favourite rapper, and I think my favourite musical artist in general. Nobody else comes to mind when I try to think of an artist that has gotten me to feel so many emotions and whose music has genuinely helped me.
I can totally believe that!
You are the greatest reactor on the platform, such a genuine soul, love this guy 🫶
Wow, thanks so very much! You're so kind!
Aha awesome!! Sweet reaction brother 🤙🏻❤️
Thanks RM!
I listened to this, and the whole Recovery album, on repeat after breaking away from an abusive relationship. I come back to his music when I am going through a hard time. It’s amazing how much it helps. I don’t know if he knows how much affect he has on people but, it is monumental! Love that you’re loving and respecting him so much! IMO no words can describe how amazing he is! ❤
Watching you discover Eminem song by song has been truly incredible. I've been an Eminem fan since the day "My Name Is" released in 1999. UA-cam has helped create so many new Eminem fans with these reaction videos. Thank you again for sharing your journey with us Stan's. It's been so much fun to watch.
I love that you as a pastor....understand the actual meaning and why this touches people in a way. This is why I will always watch your channel. Different perspective. I appreciate you always.
Thanks so much! Not a pastor, but have a VERY close friend... The God of heaven and earth.
You are seeing em at a breakthrough in his life. I get tears when I hear this track. This was a "I'm back" track for wm and his fans.....forever is close to the same but not as individual as this song if that makes sense.
This song and album were the beginning of the second part of his career. This is after his near death experience with a drug overdose. Also the death of his friend Proof and he finally became sober.
Hey, I really enjoy all your reactions about Em, I listen to him since I was 13 years old and now I'm 33 and still love to listen his music. ❤️
This UA-camrs open emotions is what every dad should be like 🤘
I can't say how much I love this song, I've never struggled with any type of addiction but the message behind this song is amazing and truly inspirational.
It doesn’t have to be drug related, it can be anything related to any addiction that isn’t healthy physically or mentally! 🙌🏽

I’m loving this Eminem journey you’ve been on,and the sheer joy on your face and in your voice when you catch a double or a triple is nothing short of incredible. Keep up the great work👍👍👍👍
I absolutely love watching someone discover Eminem for the first time. He is the GOAT. I used to draw him when i was younger, in his comics back in the 2000s. He's just the greatest artist i can think of and i mostly listen to metal.

I'm so glad you released this reaction early! I wasn't sure how I was going to wait until the end of the month, LOL. It is my absolute favorite of his. Great message.
He’s got so much 12 step wisdom now and it’s just great to hear him share. I do love Relapse and Revival and the rehab material.
Great reaction Chris - I’m so glad you love this song as much as we all do! It’s definitely special for so many reasons - it’s definitely helped loads of people through some really hard times!
Great catches on the doubles too - you’ll be onto the triples next!!!
I'm really enjoying your reactions to Em!! No matter how many times you listen to one of his songs you can always catch something new everytime
I was one of the first to recommend a reaction to this great song, and since I first saw your reaction to eminem's songs and where I saw your first reaction of " When I'm Gone " song, I know it will your favorite song at that time, and from that moment I knew that the order of your favorite eminem's songs will change after you hear this song, but I didn't expect it to be at the top of all songs list ^_^.
Thank you for your wonderful reactions Thank you for every moment and your enthusiasm every time you hear this special person songs, I am honored to be one of your followers from the other side for the Earth ^_^.

Also glad to be your first view! 😉
Thank you for your Eminem reactions they are incredible as a lifelong fan of Eminem it’s so nice to see it from someone of a different generations perspective.
So glad to see you cover one of the truly best songs em has ever released. You need to follow his entire career to truly appreciate the jouney he has taken his fans on. Been watching all your reaction videos over the past 6 months and I am so proud of you for opening your mind to the Hi Hop GOATS . You have also opened my mind to some of the other artists you have covered like NF, I had never heard of him before but love him now. Eminem will always be the GOAT though!

Been following your journey through the archive of music that is eminem. .you haven't even scratched the surface of his songs, collaborations etc. .really enjoying these reactions🙏
Brilliant reaction to one of my favourite Eminem songs. You’re just so brilliant at reading his songs, you’re picking up on stuff that even I’ve missed and I’ve heard this song lots of times. 👍
Wow. Yes finally... I was waiting for this one and it was worth it. Thank you so much for doing this reaction. At 14:09 your interpretation of the video gave me goosebumps. I never thought of it that way before. ❤️
Thanks so much!
Just FYI, Eminem might be sayign that Relapse was meh here. But it's truly an iconic work of art to most of the fans. Yes, the themes are gruesome but it only radiates creativity. We see movies like Final Destination, SAW, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and consider them great and not spit on the screen writers. There shouldn't be this double standards for music. And Relapse is not just gore/horror themes. It is a rhyming cookbook.
Relapse is actually one of my favorite albums, love his word play and rhymes are incredible, especially on stay wide awake. Amazing song and my top 5 from all eminem
Loved this reaction!!!! Loved how hyped you get! I think this might be my favorite Eminem song, idk there are so many good ones but this is up there.
I love the passion you have for him and his brilliant lyrics. Obviously his delivery as well but it's great to see when a person has that kind of passion towards a musician or really anything
Hey you finally made it to this one! One of my favorite Em tracks, knew you'd like it as well haha.
You still have your spirit with you at your age. I hope I age like you sir!
I love your reactions to Em. He is the GOAT. Glad you found this man. He is out of this world
The levels are slowly increasing. Keep up the amazing work! Much love from England broseph ❤️

Incase u dont know, bees lost their stinger and die in cpl hours after they sting
This is Em’s most important song in modern day as of 2010-2022 is “Not Afraid” this song introduced us to what Em was becoming he evolved and became better than what he was not just as a Hip Hop Artist/Rapper but overall as a human being Em is a better man than he was Em inspires me till this day and when Not Afraid came out I felt a sense of maturity from Em frfr Sobriety was the best thing to happen to Em’s life Em could’ve went out sad but he rose from those ashes and is back to being the man he was always chasing and is continuing to do what he loves and that’s having a stable life while continue doing his passion which is Hip Hop which he’s The Goat Of👊🏽🐐🙌🏽✨🎯💯(Also everytime I listen to Not Afraid I feel motivated and joyful yet emotional cause Em put his soul into this track and the choir was a nice touch as well to this track and Em can sing check out songs like She Loves Me,In Too Deep,Higher,Twisted etc. and the message at the beginning was mainly him speaking about his period of drug-addict depression, which has inspired his rebirth/sobriety and now Em is 12 or 13 years of being sober)
It's like my third time
hearing this with you
Chris I have a great time listening to these
with you cause you enjoy them so much
Portugal here for the Goat Eminem always since day one and forever. Thanks for reacting to this legendary masterpiece. Salutes and respect from Portugal.
I simply love this song and this out of this world artist.
It's the double entendres for me. One of The Best lyricists. He has gotten me through so much, personally and as a writer, especially with this song. It's a damn anthem imo. Love him so much 🖤✨😎🙏
You should react to Eminem's "Underground". It's his comeback song after 5 years from 2009. "Underground" implying he's been through hell and back during those years. It's a great fun and hilarious song
So glad to see you get here. I remember hearing this - such an anthem.
Last time I heard this song I was in active addiction. Man how powerful it is now. You’re enthusiasm to learn is infectious brother, much love❤
Finally, haha now we gotta get you onto some of Ems other greats that you would enjoy the most. This album was directly after him cleaning up.
Definitely check out Monster or Love the way you lie.
I'm a believer too but i think it is important to hear the message from thems perspective ..and it has its realness to it 😊 love you sir Chris ..Godbless you
Thanks so much AK!
Love your reactions man and the energy you bring especially for em 💯🙏🏴
I love how much you started loving ems music
I wish you could interview Em, it would go great 👍 love the reaction 🔥
Love the reactions as always. Btw, "getting capped" actually means getting shot and killed. So its still a double but it means instead of getting ur props (crowned) your getting killed (capped).
I've watched a few of your videos today, but when Em said "All those who look down on me, I'm tearing down your balcony" and you stood up and clapped, I subscribed. Welcome to the wonderful world of hip-hop.
I have so much respect for you, you catch the bars I couldn’t catch when I was younger and less aware of my culture.. and honestly I consider people like you a part of that because without people like you to indulge.. there would be no culture to share💯 all love from NYC
