About the game:
#UBOAT is a #simulator of a submarine from WWII era. It is a survival sandbox with crew management mechanics while its primary theme is life of German sailors. The boat is their home, but it can become their grave at any time.

the Guns at the Portsmouth Naval Base were AA, maybe these are too, I lived on the Shore of Edinburgh, Scotland, and I often ran into concrete Circles, that were ex-Anti-Aircraft/Naval Gun Batteries on the coast, near Rosyth(Now, a top-secret NATO-Nuclear Submarine Base.
For 1-2 renown points, I suggest sending an officer on a Luftwaffe reconnaissance mission. The end result is a detailed view of Scapa Flow's defenses on the map.

That gun you are looking for is an AA gun. I dont think its a concern for a uboat (i might be wrong, i don't know)
I wonder how you will approach this.. I also waited for the evening and then just crossed the net.. took a long distance shot and escaped. There was one destroyer waiting for me.. but i was able to dodge him in the shallow waters... I was doubting to shoot the destroyer first, because he was blocking my escape, but i didn't let them know i was there.. so i just did the kill and escaped
This mission was the first time someone had the balls to reload a torpedo underwater which is why you have to reload to sink it.
You tricked me into this mission :-) I tried it for the first time today and there was like 30 ships around the target. Just impossible to do. I'll try again tomorrow :)

I can understand the people commenting that this is impossible, when there are 15+ warships around the oak, it’s impossible to get out of the bay without being “sonared” and subsequently waterbombed to hell. I solved this using the console as i did not want to waste my entire evening for nothing
It's certainly possible, though it takes a ridiculously long time and huge amounts of patience, along with some luck.

@@Lite_lySalted I thought you are familiar with historical background of this mission...on 14th Oct 1939, U-47 (commanded by Günther Prien) actually did manage to infiltrate Scapa Flow, attack and sink HMS Royal Oak. This was quite a masterpiece submarine success right in the beginnin of war... 👍

I defeat the nets that way via riding the bottom at 1-2 knots.
And another thing what does the nets do?
It's like a fence. Your boat smashes into them.
I started this mission for the first time two weeks ago. Just finished it yesterday.

@@Lite_lySalted I forgot to mention I was submerged..... I do remember the shore gun mounts too I started new game also...I notice when I return to port never a full supply of deck gun shells. You ever experience that issue??

@@Lite_lySalted when after mission return to port the warehouse.. they don't have much deck gun shells. I get 89.. or so... ..guess cause it's still early in the game I'll see later in the game if the warehouse boots my shell almmo
@@beedalton9675 Theres a mission in the HQ specifically for ammunition production. Send a leader I believe for 12 days and youll get more available shells in the warehouse.

Do what the game says to do. If that didn't work, you either did it incorrectly, or your save is bugged.
I manage to sink bu 5 torpedo but I was allmost catch be destroyers. After I sunk another destroyer and stay hide 6 hours I can escape. Watever intresting mission but not that acurate hitoric toking.
OK i just leave this. But YOU do THE SAME!!! STOP FAKING PEOPLE!!! This game in original and this mission ROYAL OAK shit is impossible...
