Joe Flaherty
June 21, 1941-April 1, 2024
We’ll miss you, pal.
RIP Guy Cabellero
Does he sleep with the fishes?
Candy as Pavarottti pure genius!!
What are the odds that every single cast member would be so comedically gifted?!
It’s hilarious they got John Marley to be in this!
it really is
This may have been their finest hour. The talking horse's head in bed was pure inspired genius.
Their '2010: Jupiter and Beyond' was also very funny. Hilaroius, cheapo sci-fi thrills, with Martin Short and Joe Flaherty playing feuding astronauts, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel. And Eugene Levy as Commander Ernest Borgnine, who can't seem to keep them in line.
You’re exactly right
As good as "Maudlin's 11" :)
They got the oroginal actor(John Marley) to reprise his role in the horse head skit
“The days of the week “
The Caballero Wheelchair - “I just use that for respect!”
Still funny as heck!
SCTV: Best sketch comedy TV show EVER
The entire cast of SCTV are Canadian national treasures.
Joe Flaherty was born and raised in Pittsburgh.
Andrea Martin is also a born and raised American.
Ms. Martin holds dual citizenship, so she is an American-Canadian "Trésor national".
AND American
The TV Code was a real thing. It ended in 1983, and it shows. RIP Joe Flaherty.
It was suspended starting in 1977, seeing the DVD/Copyright note and as holder of the "Network/90" DVDs, tons of edits removals On The DVDs makes channels like this necessary. Plus real life "wars" with portrayals of Joyce DeWitt etc. To offer a for purchase versions of missing shows likely would require on screen commentary, so basically not possible. For instance on the DVD version of CCCP1, lot of edits vs. what was shown here. Thanks for posting❤
The joke about Guy being virtually indestructible was always funny
I’m crying tears on my ride home on train! “I was gonna go along but after I saw that demo reel my answers a flat NO!”
It’s amazing what this ensemble cast of great comedians were able to produce. If SCTV were a real network, I’d watch every day.
John Candy came up with the Idea of throwing the televisions off the balcony. Pure genuis. 😄RIP John .
Wasn't that from the movie "Network"?
Eugene Levy as Gene Shalit, priceless!
RIP, Joe Flaherty.
The best godfather parody ever......
Parody...??
This is actually ripped off & parodied by Puzo & Coppola!
Not many people know that!

I love it that the Don gets hit with 600 bullets but they don't kill him. That's one tough guy!
This was the most PERFECT parody they ever did!!
They had the nerve to shoot down the SCTV logo in the newsroom? Oh the humanity.
The "FACT" they employed the original actor for the Godfather horse head in bed makes me love & respect the crew that much more.
I had forgotten about Andrea Martin. She is a very funny woman.
Central and St Michael’s were high schools in Toronto
Wow, that Guy Caballero is one tough SOB huh? LMFAO!
I'm gonna make him an offer I think would be to his liking.
The Godfather Cabellero Story is the only two episodes of sctv that you have to watch together as one.
IMO 😂🤣😂
I grew up with this show I am simply in tears laughing at this thank for the memories
One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen.
7:40 the pic of Jerry Stiller on the wall above President Reagan is so random & hilarious to me 😂
BRILLIANT
OMG this stuff is priceless.
05:55 an impeccable imitation of the late, great Jessica Savitch. Brilliant.
only SCTV would have imitations of Jessica Savitch, Gene shallit , Dick Cavett, ETC..
The first episode of “The Godfather” was so hilarious that part two bombed in comparison (in my opinion). And nobody does the slow burn like Eugene Levy….I love his impersonation of Alex Trebek. And I have to acknowledge Rick Moranis’ Gordon Lightfoot, bc it was perfect! His singing voice was so good then that he could have made a career with that, just amazing.
Looks like I need a plumber. 🤣
"Night School HI Q" ~ LOLLOLOL
Now, that's what I call eliminating your competition! LMFAO!
It's brilliant satire.
And that's how HULU was born.
🤣
I didn't take no Oath hahaha ha 😆 . Sawadee Khap 🤠
Holy crap! I remember this episode when it was new 1984 are we in a time warp? I'm pressing my buzzer Alex.
You been dipping into the ouzo Greek?
Hilarious.
This skit is the best
All due respect to Will Ferrell, But Eugene Levi was the best Alex Trebek.
Apparently Norm MacDonald knew SNL was ripping off SCTV with that half-wits sketch so he and Martin Short called Eugene Levy for permission
@@joesimon2018 SNL can be pretty shameless sometimes.
I won't be sorry when SNL ends -- hopefully sometime within my lifetime. It hasn't been very good in decades. It's mostly irrelevant now because all know "The Devil and The Lorne" are doing corporate NBC's bidding.
When they become the establishment, that's when they lose any comedic edge...
@@AvengerII spoken like a true Trump supporter.
@@joesimon2018 Spoken like a clueless moron with SEVERE TDS.
You don't know, "Captain America."
Kindly shove your preconceived notions and open up your mind.
You're clearly the brainwashed one here.
@@joesimon2018TDS is real. Get some help.
This show was a mile netter than SNL. I miss being a kid and laughing MAO at this. 😂
15:04 S.C.T.V. great comedy. 😂🤣
The game show segment is hilarious! 😆
NETWORK WAR! LMFAO!
Just genius. So good...
Greek, it's a hit!
Sonny, you just hit PBS!
What you got to him again for?
I hate that egghead network!
Art portraying life, our local #PBS affiliate #KTCA would show the 30 min chops of #SCTV, and before that #Montypython adhering to all procedures for other networks to air similar programs 😅😅😅😅
Genius.
She's not a classic beauty by any stretch, but I still have a crush on Andrea Martin.
7:59 The oath 😂
12:06 “What the hell is wrong with you you’ve been dippin into the Uzo again?”
OMG. Hi Q had me cracking up.
He gets up after being shot 300 times. Can I have my magazines?
@12:40 Funny how Greek got a shot of lead in the butt.
Candy had some pipes!
Why would I pay for commercially produced DVDs of SCTV when I've got this to look at for free?
LOL - I’m a cheap fuck too.
I would be glad to buy SCTV episodes just to see them in the best resolution etc.. My favorite show of all times, Still cracks me up 🤣
9:05. LMFAO!
Don’t know why they didn’t have a switch to turn off all the buzzers on Night School Hi-Q? I got a breadboard and an arduino in the car, I could wire that up for Alex pretty quick.
5:17 Dan Would Rather Not 😂
8:44. Looney Tunes!
"Can we accept an answer in Dutch?"..
00:00 gonna get recapped 😂
22:33 The End 😂
14:30 Earl Camonbear 😂
Earl Camembert
HOW PROPHETIC
3:10 Part Two 😂
Gee the American way What a Country
It IS a great country -- but you don't have to move here . . . PLEEEAASE!
Gee I wonder where SNL got their ideas from?
ROFL
@ Ralph's
6:07 sctv news 😂
15:04 Night School Hi Q 😂🤣😂
Funny!
SNL could not get close to this work
Margaret have a plush animal?
But did they remember a thing called Vaudeville?
Toronto eventually shut down the comedy pipeline
Guy Cabellero had to make some pivotal decisions back in the day.
Guy doing god father is horrible
The Caballero Wheelchair - “I just use that for respect!”
Still funny as heck!
