russia might have to swap to fiberglass shells rather than tin if it needs to deal with liquid metal penetrators, glass if rather hard rather temp resistant nad u can make a fiberglass boat in a afternoon/shell for a tank.
(you can make home made bulletproof plate out of compressed fiberglass thats more penetration resistant for weight than a steel plate)
wouldnt be hard to do the same thing for tanks, like air barriered ceramic armour (although im not sure anyone dose that yet tbh)

Russians did make plates filled with ceramic spheres for the t72m for little while they have the tooling to make cope cages out of it for sure

Liquified metal penetrators are not liquid due to high temperature but due to being in a state where too much kinetic energy had been impressed in them. That is simply a HEAT warhead. Heat warheads, contrary to name implies, do not cause damage with heat, but with the fact that liquified copper is incompressible so when it is movign forward the solids in front of it MUST be the ones that are displaced. You defeat that with spaced armor, that is exactly what the cages are already for.
