This show has helped me immensely. I am actually preparing to become a missionary, actively looking for the right mission trip, and it will be my first. The Chosen has inspired me and shown me what courage looks like, and I have learned so much about Jesus through the series. For all my brothers and sisters evangelizing: "For whoever would save his life loses it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." Also know, The Chosen took Jesus down from the stained glass window and made Him my friend, and I am eternally grateful. Before The Chosen, I thought Jesus was an unapproachable high-and-mighty king. But that's not true. He's humble and lowly in heart, and He is our friend. All I can say is, I was one way, and now I am completely different, and the thing that happened in between was Him.

I love this scene of Hanukkah- The feast of dedication..They were all joyful, gifting each other, singing, playing the drama of Maccabean revolt...They were all so happy until the news of Lazarus came...I love this entire episode ,in fact I love all scenes all episodes of The Chosen...periodddd...
You can really see the bond between them and the fact what would happen next is heartbreaking. Imagine you're with the Son of Man Himself, God in the flesh and not only that but He is also your bestfriend.

Christ is described in Daniel and Revelations. Even though this show is pretty close, it still omits truth by design. Christ was black- he had white woolen hair and skin the color of Sardinia stone and feet as dark as burnt copper. He was born a man and is not God the Father.
I think it's sad how much of our Jewish roots & traditions we as Christians have lost. I've heard interviews w/ many Jews who simply had no idea how misled they'd been. Just believing the Messiah hadn't yet come. Until they understood how the 1st century religious leaders got it wrong. The Chosen has made me incorporate some of our Lord's & Blessed Mother's Jewishness into my daily life & prayers! The Chosen has been such a blessing for our world!
As an atheist, I view Jesus of Nazareth as a historical figure-a teacher whose revolutionary ideas challenged conservative Judaism and Roman rule, leading to his crucifixion. Despite not being a believer, I’ve studied the Bible and grown to admire him. This series beautifully portrays Jesus and his disciples in such a natural and relatable way, capturing their flaws, fears, humor, and everyday struggles. It feels like living their journey alongside them. This series is not just well-made; it’s the closest I’ve seen to portraying both the historical Jesus and the Christ of faith. Excellent work-keep it up!
Agreed, but you are missing a whole other perspective due those that have surrendered to this “historical figure” as the only chance of redemption in this life and the next…I implore you to surrender to the nudging of the Holy Spirit and make Him not just a historical figure, but savior of your life Blessings my friend

Actually, I love all the episodes ☺️ Andrew’s acting was great and made us all smile 😃 Another wonderful episode where you describe the humanity of Jesus so beautifully and wonderfully. We see Jesus having beautiful time with his apostles. Jesus was both God and man 🙏 You reflect with these episodes to us very well 👍 It was so sweet when John and Matthew gave each other gifts and Matthew hugged John sincerely ☺️ The beautiful melody sung by Little James, Andrew and Nathaniel, played on beautiful instruments, is a very touching part. The voices of the three are very beautiful and very harmonious 👏 An episode that is both fun, joyful and emotional. I love this episode 😊💖

The reason they seem mystical is because of their faith. If you feel distance between yourself and the disciples, you must look at your own face and ask why there is such distance. It might not be as far as you think.
If you think about it, this might have been their final Hanukkah before they became Christians. Unless they kept their Jewish cultural stuff even after starting Christianity.
