Metal detecting old homesteads in New Mexico and Montana! Ep 296

On my way home from metal detecting in Florida I stop into New Mexico for a hunt. I see what I can find at an old 1870s homestead. I manage a few sweet treasures, but somebody has scraped away the old dirt. No matter I head home to Montana where I detect a 1930s homesite. I find some old coins, relics and more!

OMG only you can find silver in the middle of the desert. Excellent hunt. Great finds too. Im catching up on your video's. Been a bit busy. Cutting up trees that fell from a tornado and major storm that went through our. neighborhood.

Dang! We really don't get tornados in the rocky mountains. Scary stuff. Hopefully everyone is unscathed?

How many shell casings, shotgun headstamps and bullets did you dig in New Mexico?

Not many, because somebody had scraped most of the old dirt away. I found a few small patches they had missed.

I actually live in Montana. My daughter lives near carrizozo. I was just visiting.
