I finally got around to fitting 2 Sirocco fans in the caravan just before we head to Cape York. Very easy to fit, quiet, efficient and hopefully functional in the positions i chose.
The backing plate has keyhole shaped slots that the unit fits into and slides down to alight the final two mounting screws. Which I cannot get to slide once the backing plate is screwed into the wall.
Thanks for this Dennis. I do not have the skills to go through the wall in my van and access the power supply so decided to attach the fan wires to the wires of a cigarette 12 v plug. would I need a special connection between the two connecting wires?
Hi Bron, no problems in hooking up to a cigarette lighter plug. It’s very simple to attach you fan wiring to a male cig plug which you can plug in whenever you need. 😁

Did you back off the screws a bit to allow for a little movement in case the screws weren't aligned perfectly?

Hey Damien, it was a bit of a pain as it kept pushing past flush. A bit of tinkering and after sealing again with silastic it’s like new
Could you convert this to a plug in somehow. What would you use?
