Buddy I love this comment, I'm 44 now been to a lot of concerts, I was at pavement,TFL Pixies ,Stones. But nothing compared to that night. Everyone was amazing ,they knew ok wasn't good enough. A real privilege to be there, making Ngl the choice of seeing muse or peak chemical bros was tough
I was there, singing at the top of my lungs with my friends, with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes because in that moment in time we were altogether, and beyond happy, along with 60,000 others that felt the same way. Absolutely the purest of joy! I’ll never forget it ❤ The time of my life
What a way to describe it. Like a book with a great way of writing. I was able to go to my first concert of The Killers just a month ago and the song I was most excited about was All These Things that I have Done. When I heard the first note of the song live, I couldn't believe it and, as well as you, I had a massive lump in my throat and about to cry; however, I decided to not to do so and sing. Definitely I have never been more excited in my life.
When the world can have festivals the size of this again, The Killers should headline the first one and broadcast it globally so the world knows how good a concert experience should be.

I will always have a connection to this song. I remember being 15 and sitting on a friends couch in Memphis after evacuating from New Orleans for Hurricane Katrina. This song was playing as I watched my home town and life as I know it be destroyed in real time... I still get emotional ever time I hear the intro. "When there is no where else to run, is there room for one more son, one more son. If you can't hold on, if you can't hold on, hold on."

November of 2012, at age 52, I've landed on The Killers. I've obviously been under a rock for the past seven years, and look forward to catching up on all their music.

I am so fucking lucky I was able to see them in concert at least once in my life (but obviously that wont ever be enough) and when they played this song, you could just feel the vibration of those drums and hands clapping beating through your whole body and the voices of hundreds of people merging with Brandon's. At the age of 59 I have just discovered the killers, I blast them around the house, I’m now an embarrassing mum to 20 year old kids, tried all my adult life to embarrass them, finally achieved it.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you failed big time. A parent listening to The Killers is a badge of honor, not an embarassment. They'll come to understand you in time and when they share their stories with the band, they'll mention the role you played in it. Keep on blasting them
@@V1489Cygni your so right, never looked at it like that. Have you watched them singing live at the Oxygen concert here in Ireland. Not a iPhone in site. We Irish know how to celebrate with the best. Keep safe and well.
Perhaps it takes us to raise kids and once that’s done we finally get to be our young selves again, enjoying music as loud as we like and signing along because now we are the parents, they don’t like it they can move out, oh to feel young again Whoop Whoop.
Ah summer 2005 I had just graduated HS the month before and I had my whole youth/life ahead of me. Just an 18 yr old kid with lots of dreams, ideals and ambitions. I'm 34 now in 2021 and my God I don't recognize the planet anymore. I remember back in the '00s thinking that The Killers weren't that good and most of the rock scene was lame compared to the '70s, '80s & '90s. I look back now and I realize it wasn't all bad and at least there was still a rock scene. What happened in these last 16 yrs? Everything seems to be lame now. Especially the music. Oh, and I have looked for new artists and most are not that good unfortunately. I'd love to go back to 2005. This was truly right before social media started to take over the world around 2007ish.
I just happened to stumble on this on the web and downloaded and when i listened to it. Boom! Can't get this off of my head and thought this is an underrated song. Turns out there are a lot of people love this. Indie rock is something a genre with an exotic touch.

Great stuff!!

Oxegen 2011 was the best festival I've ever been to. Don't believe there's ever been a better lineup at an Irish festival in the years since.
It's amazing that this was only 2 years after The Killers first hit single aired on the radio. Yet the crowd is absolutely massive.
The Saturday afternoon of Oxegen back in the day.
