Blur might have provided the greatest overall album artistically of Britpop; Oasis representing the roots of Britpop to the public via the media best; but it was Pulp that defined and gifted what Britpop was about most lyrically - in this song.
Safe to say then, that this is one of the best (and most important) songs of all time.

As a Japanese, I watch this video once a month. And cry. That is how to survive in a Japanese society that is ugly, cruel, and rotten, and that does not recognize the dignity of others who have made a mistake once. For example, there were several people who jumped into trains and died today. What are you doing? That's why we need this video of their song.

Unbelievably good. What a band! What a frontman! What a performance! I saw them at Leeds that same weekend. Up until then I wasn’t really too bothered about Pulp so my expectations were kinda low. Then they played like this, my 17-year old mind was completely blown and I was converted to the church of Jarvis. I come back to watch this video every so often because it takes me back to being 17, at my first festival and feeling free. Beautiful stuff
