    Wish my cabbage looked half as pretty as yours. We had days of rain recently, and cabbage worms got hold of most of them while I couldn't tend to them. I have one, with a tiny, firm head. Maybe 1/4 lb. The rest are iffy. My first year growing cabbage. I won't give up, though. :)

    Nice man! Couple of questions if I may.... 1. You said you planted in December, what part of the country are you in? I live in the piedmont of NC and I'm wondering if the winter temps with bother cabbage? 2. Ever had a problem with cabbage worms? I planted cabbage for the first time back in April and I would've had a great crop had it not been for the worms! Battled them hard and still lost, might have 2 or 3 heads I'll be able to harvest....yours look killa though!

    How do the bigger leaves taste if your eating around the head? Will cutting those hurt the progression of the head?

    • @rajnaturals
      @rajnaturals  4 роки тому

      They taste pretty good or the same really. If you take off too much leaves while they are growing could slow down the energy flow yes.

      @@rajnaturals Okay, I get that this is an OLD video but let me ask you, were your cabbages planted too close together for all of them to grow to a larger size Head or is it the type of Cabbage you planted. No Shade now. I have some planted now and I'm not sure how long to wait to harvest or what size to realistically expect. I'm planted in CONTAINERS.

    • @rajnaturals
      @rajnaturals  4 роки тому

      Ms. Byrd hey there. Mainly the size is greatly affected by the fertilizer it gets. They are about a foot apart which is sorta tight but I noticed great difference in the heads swelling more bigger with potassium, phosphorus, and trac mineral rich nutrients
