Very well done..a prelude to Perry Mason for Raymond Burr. I just read today that he auditioned for the role of the D.A. Hamilton Burger but Earle Stanley Gardner, creator, immediately wanted him for the lead Good choice! Thank you for this. 9/4/21.
And "Paul Drake" originally auditioned for the role of "Perry Mason".
@aspenrebel, you guys has good information. Thanks a lot.
This was an excellent movie! I can't help but think it might have influenced producers to cast Raymond Burr as Perry Mason a couple years later!
Wow, Burr, and a lawyer! Is that a spin-off from Perry Mason?.. oh, not. Well, still looks alike)
Does anybody remember a black and white movie that takes place almost entirely in an apartment, mostly bedroom, a bathroom and the door outside of it. I thought the plot was ingenious! I remember People coming and going, hiding, plotting and also something about a hidden key 🔑 at the stairs outside. That’s all I remember. Anybody have an idea? American definitely
@Channel 7 thanks for the reply. I have checked the trailer and it’s not the one. Will watch it anyway because it slipped by me! 😉
Well, it really sounds like Hitchcock's Dial M for Murder.
Not guilty of murder!
Momentary lapse of sanity brought on by un due pressue by a homicidal blackmailer. Her finger may have been on the trigger but the deadman pulled it (He was the force (The ptressure) that kept squeezing and squeezing).
Burr was homosexual but kept it hidden - and good luck to him.
I always liked him.
An interesting movie. Always liked Raymond Burr and this was a very different role for Angela Lansbury. Would have been much better if I didn't have to STRAIN to hear it!!!!
Terrible sound ....
