Young Rebel Set are a charismatic bunch of Englishmen that started doing folk music in Stockton-on-Tees in North East England... and alas! They're doing it good. Their music has just the combination of roughness and softness of the landscape these guys came out of. We keep marvelling over such a perfect voice, sometimes powerful, and sometimes on the verve of breaking. It breaks our hearts, really.

this is indeed infinite times better than their original version. The other version sounds like a robot singing , there es so much more sensitivity in this one. I dont understand why they always iron everything flat for pop commercial world.
The other one is pretty good too but this is on a whole other level

This is such a well-crafted, powerful song. This group deserves much more attention. Another of their terrific songs is Penny to My Name. I sure wish they'd invite this band to appear on SNL in the US; I haven't heard a lot of this group's music, but what I've heard has an attention to craft and an emotional resonance that tops almost any of the music currently being produced in the U.S. Keep it coming, guys!

I think 'the lions mouth' is facing struggle and the harsh realities of human brutality. So when he got back from the war he found her cheating ('caught' being the important word), which destroyed the reason he had clung on for. So he gave her a bit of what he had been through (lions mouth) and then killed himself in desperation.
Somehow I just want to cuddle him.

@emmyrocks741 I'm thinking that it's just the story of something that sadly happens far too often when troops are away in combat. "The Lions Mouth" could be the danger that they goes off to when they go to a danger zone, and it could also be the dangerous side of them that they show when they find that thier loved one has been cheating on him/her. Some would argue that it hurts more than any bullet.

ya i agree, that's kinda what i was getting at "affair" "Cheating". But ya i like what you said that the lion's mouth represents human brutality, i got that too i just was kinda spun around about the whole liying naked on the floor thing over thought it a little i guess, but it fits that she would be "dead" because in a sense she was dead, the one thing he lved and held on to in life was dead to him, she left him standing in the lions mouth while she lie naked on the floor.
