Is the Mezger Engine Truly Reliable or Just Hype? Pre-Purchase Inspection: Useful orl or not?

    I will think twice before I buy a porsche now.
    Was going to build the greatest build of all times. But with this kind of support and service, I am not very eager to do it.

      Me too. Canadian support is poor or non-existent

    A PPI will only give you so much info, as they’re mostly visual and check for worn items, frame damage, and test all functionality to make sure things operates as it should. Do you have any maintenance/repair history on the car? I would be more inclined to believe your issues stem from a previous mechanic who performed major work, as I don’t believe this to be a common issue with Mezger or any Porsche engine for that matter. Really sorry to hear about your terrible luck on a new to you car.

      The car was serviced at a Porsche dealership for what I have of the history

    Wow, where has German reliability gone... If there is a defect of this nature, it seems to me that Porsche should cover at least part of the repair.
