    Hey, great vid man! How do you keep your vibrant colors in the final render? For some reason, every time I export a well-saturated film in DaVinci resolve it looks much more grey, unsaturated, and less sharp when watching it on the exact same screen. Do you have any tips or tricks to avoid this?

    • @AxiA
      @AxiA  4 роки тому +5

      Good Question. I did develop a LUT that prevents the desaturation that happens when you export the video that I will make available soon. I usually don't notice any sharpness loss though

    • @HiFinnnn
      @HiFinnnn 4 роки тому

      @@AxiA Oh okay. Perfect, can't wait to try this out. Already solves the sharpness issue, but making/using a LUT is a pretty good idea. Thanks :D

      Are you using a newer MacBook Pro or iMac by any chance?

    • @HiFinnnn
      @HiFinnnn 4 роки тому

      @@KaarloMedia Me? No, I have one from 2015/16 but I usually edit everything on a Windows PC. What if I did, is there a general problem with newer Macs?

    • @KaarloMedia
      @KaarloMedia 4 роки тому +1

      @@HiFinnnn New Apple devices have P3 color space displays, which can't be set to a reference rec709 mode. To get accurate colors for web distribution on these devices, you would need a separate reference monitor.
      P3 and rec709 are vastly different color spaces both in color and gamma - editing in P3 you will see a rich and contrasty image but when exported and uploaded, it will look desaturated and low contrast.
      This wouldn't be a problem if the mac os communicated the P3 display information to the editing software and changed the program monitor colors accordingly. Such information is only transferred to Final Cut (Apple's own NLE) and not to Resolve or Premiere.
      An ok-ish working solution is to download a P3 to rec709 conversion LUT and grade under that conversion.
      This gets very complicated and frustrating really fast, so I'd suggest reading up on it on forums if you're interested in learning more.
      In the end, it's a ton of work to get your colors looking right on these devices.

    Hi Axia, when they moved outside, do you think you could have pulled off the same look just using tube-lights instead of the giant 300d and dome? I will be doing a similar lighting set up and wondering if I should just stick with renting tube lights since they are so versatile.

    • @AxiA
      @AxiA  Рік тому

      Smaller lights means smaller sources and smaller sources translates to harder lights. Depends what look your going for. But softbox gives you for sure a softer lights than a tube. You could perhaps bounce a tube into a piece of white material to make it larger therefore softer, but you might loose output

    I think it would've been cool to see Jason playing the game again, and this time winning thanks to the new controllers, before he opens the door to his father. He then demonstrates he has 'control' over his feelings and the situation by cutting off his father. I wonder what happened after that, though. His father being such a narcissistic bastard, he probably used the lawn to do his 'business'... I think we need a sequel 😄

      Travel Addict I work with one character at a time. So I make sure that the lighting is perfect for that scene on that character. So I do all the lines from one character and then I move to the next character and I re adjust the lights in that character.
