I have binged y'all first 11 episodes on spotify in the past couple of days and was so thrilled to find you have a youtube channel! I prefer to go through podcasts chronologically but i had to skip way ahead and watch this. Thank you for continuing to make this podcast and I'm so excited to catch up on the 4 years of episodes! Thanks for the amazingly entertaining stories and funny banter

I was also thinking about the animated movie mike mentioned!! If we're thinking of the same one, it's not a buffallo. In Call of the Wild the antagonists are wildebeasts, and our lion protagonist came to the zoo from a circus background (i think) and was traumatozed by them as a young cub. The specific "angry buffallo" scene is a flashback to a mechanical wildebeast with red eyes and smoke coming out of its ears or something.
I was obsessed with this movie as a kid, forgive me for any wrong details this was from memory

    Love your work boys!
So much so in fact, that I only discovered you about 5 months ago and I have already listened to every episode twice and when I'm not listening to you, both of my dogs and Cockateil listen to you when I go out, not only just to get your view count up, but my Australian terrier Morty seems to REALLY enjoy grooming his genetalia to the soothing sounds of Wes's voice, which personally I think is pretty weird!!
    🤷‍♂
Because everybody knows thats its WAY more fun to groom your bits to the sound of Mike's voice.
And if I told you what my Cockateil does to the side of his seed dish when he hears Jeff's voice, they would permanently ban me from commenting on UA-cam, but I can send you a video if you like?
Just keep in mind that certain things once seen, may never ever be able to be scrubbed from your memory, so carefully think it over before asking.
Anyhoo, all the best boys and a fine Merry Christmas to the three of you and your families.
    🙇‍♀🍻
    And remember, we're listening.
    😉
All the best from three VERY loyal Australian fans.
    PS.
I probably should have started with the fact that I am Australian, but then you would have said "Ah, this is just regular Australian conversation that blokes have over beers" so there wouldn't have been much fun in that, would there? 🤷‍♂
    Cheers boys. 🍺

Came for the animal stories, stayed for the Fullmetal Alchemist shout-out.

OKay good episode however I've been to Tanzania and spoken with several tribal members including the guide who specified how dangerous the buffalo are, what you are reading are deaths "reported". Most deaths are by the African Buffalo and against tribal members mainly because they traverse the land by walking which is filled with danger as we all can understand they definitely are not hunting them but possibly unfortunate meeting of human and animal. It doesn't take much to have them charge, these are not animals that won't charge if left alone, they charge on a whim hence the danger. The reason it isn't reported is that activities which are not considered legal such as living on land that is Government land, or cattle they herd isn't suppose to be in that area therefore they keep all quiet and handle things within the tribes. Hope that gives some insight we learned as well.

What is Wes looking at? Constantly just staring out into the void. Is it because the light flutters his eyes? I feel like that’s not it. Is he on the look out for bears? What IS out there?
