Yeah, feel free to react to any of the songs of that (they provide timestamps too), or the entire thing (minus the already released ones), if you want. The entire show is brilliant.
Her 4 years of practice learning to growl were starting when she was 18, from 2005-2009. She's always pushing her skills though and both her cleans and growls sound noticably stronger over periods of about 2 years or so, and she's been growing like that for over a decade. IMO, Tati's greatest strength is her ability to express emotion, and there is just a bit more feeling when she's performing on stage. The whole Macro album and Micro EP are both excellent work. Macro in particular is IMO their most accomplished work.
The sniper is a metaphor.. shoots the dude in the heat and nothing happened.. hits his bling and he dies.. the true definition of greed.. this is one of my favorites.. but yeah.. the whole song is about what the quest for financial success does to our humanity
The official music video dropped the day I saw them live. Back when we could go to shows. 😭 I like the live performance better though. Love the double features! Also, not the same outfit at all. And...if you read the lyrics of the song, the video is quite obvious. It’s largely about climbing the corporate ladder due to greed and being taken out by someone once you’ve “hit the top” (hence the sniper). Notice the dude doesn’t die until his briefcase is shot.
It also shows how he was probably already dead inside. He dropped his passion for photography, might even lost more of his private life and family over his corporate career, so the shots to him didn't do anything because there wasn't anything left anyway. The briefcase, his job, was the only thing that remained.
@@KytexEdits I think that’s around the time I discovered Jinjer (and reaction videos thanks to Lost in Vegas). Kinda hooked me. You’ll see me around on reactions to bands/artists I love like Spiritbox, Leprous, Ne Obliviscaris, Twelve Foot Ninja, Slaughter to Prevail, Billie Eilish, Chelsea Wolfe...and so on. It’s a great way to pass the time while at work. 😊
An ordinary guy opened the door to the world of success and money .He looks confused and unsure of himself ,but he begun his path to success ,despite ruins and corpses around ,looking to the top and pay more attention to Mercedes ,for example .Finally he reached the goal ,symbolized in video by briefcase .He changed cap and hoody for business suit .His epic dancing is a symbol of successful life . All his human traits were killed, money is that last thing in life makes sense.Last shot destroyed his money and killed, him.Sniper is a payback for success when "you're not afraid to loose your mind in the name of profit".Great song ,great video, great live performance ,great reaction .Thanks!
Very nice reaction! For the next song I suggest Cloud Factory (live). It's an older song but probably one of their best ones. It's insanely catchy and I think you'll like it a lot! Also Tati puts on some sassy moves during the performance :D
I totally get what you’re saying about studio vs live vocals. The studio vocals from her are so great, so dynamic. But the live vocals. Dude, her talent and art come out more in the lives and are just mystifying and captivating. Backed by some sick licks from every instrumentalist. Eugene does some things on bass I haven’t seen many other bassists do. Roman on guitar is insanely precise, especially with the speed they play. And Vlad, with a stripped down drum set, puts more feeling into his time keeping than most drummers out there. So. Freaking. Good. Nice reaction, love the double features!
Part of what makes Jinjer great is the variety. No two songs sound that alike compared to many bands. I might recommend Just Another and When Two Empires Collide as Jinjer songs you probably haven't heard yet, but are more likely to like based on what I've gathered about your tastes. Always fun to see other people love something you love, too. That's why the idea of Tati as a vampire is extra chilling - we're already enthralled.
Hey Sean, I just spent the last hour or so watching your Jinjer reactions. So happy you've arrived at 'On The Top', one of my favourites and the live version is incredible, IMO - the band is fire, the mix is excellent and Tati sounds delicious. I love your double feature idea too. The whole of Macro (their most recent album) is superb, btw. The band recently said they plan to do a video for every track while they are unable to tour, so something to look forward to. If you want add Devin Townsend to your list of bands to react to, I don't think you'll be disappointed. You obviously have a really strong appreciation of music production and Devin is unique (in many ways) and known for his 'wall of sound', but don't expect Phil Spector. 'Kingdom' live on EmgTV is a great cherry popper. Subbed, my friend. Peace
I felt that tiny Slipknot bit, and think it’s Before I Forget. It’s a very tiny bit, but I love Slipknot and Jinjer are 2 of my favourite bands, so it makes me twice as happy. I can listen to One The Top on loop for an hour, such a good song.
This is definitely one of my favorite songs from the mandy the live version is even better than the studio version. If you are doing "Ape" you HAVE to do a double feature again! Do their official video then the Live One Shot at Mystic Festival. Its like you're on stage with them. Same with "Cloud Factory" do official video, then official live video. These are two other songs where I think the live version is even better than the studio.
I love this song for its pace and her Cadence. It makes it one of those funnest songs to listen to. I'm amped up that you just mentioned ape and cloud factory. For me, those are number two and three after pit of consciousness. Would love to start seeing you check out Slaughter to Prevail and Crystal Lake after Jinjer
Nice reaction, again!! I think live performance is much better than the vid!! Please do Captain Clock!! By the way! Next summer they will be in Belgium (Graspop) and in Eindhoven (Dynamo)!!
Awesome song and hell of a performance! You already reacted to some of this album (On The Top, Judgement & Punishment, The Prophecy) but your´re missing one of the best: "RETROSPECTION"!! The official video is great and they have a live in Melbourne video with excellent audio that would be good for a double feature. Peace.
Visual this was the one you enjoyed the most. You've actual listened to a lot of micro and macro which would be more in this style, I'll have to look back if you've done Retrospection and Pit of consciousness
Yeah the songs on Macro have a fairly consistent sound, although they are all unique in some way. These are the main songs on Macro: On the Top Pit of Consciousness Judgement and Punishment Retrospection Pausing Death Noah Home Back The Prophecy Out of all those, Pausing Death and the Prophecy are probably the most like Sit Stay Roll Over, but are a lot more chaotic Definitely not the same outfit as in the video, I would he loved to be at this show though, based on the two videos we have of it, it looks like it would have been incredible. Also, I wouldn't say you are almost done your Jinjer journey, unless you've listened to some of their songs on the side you're not even ⅓ of the way there, keep going! There's lots of great songs you haven't heard yet and some that might not get suggested
Look up the lyrics to the songs...follow them as you watch the official videos...besides the fact they're musical poets...the songs always tell a story
It's Noah time more of the same just a little harder.this is what the live album is macro live in Melbourne. I've seen it and it's amazing. Peace ✌️ from Stan the Alaskan
On live sessions you can really know the capabillities of a band/singer/musician, and they are amazing! and that vibe from Slipknot remembers to me to "Before I forget" song! I reccoment to you the song "Crowd Factory" Official DVD trailer (not CLOUD but CROWD) that song have pretty much positive energy for me, with the old members and too young ones!
Very early Jinjer but very high energy and excellent live video of the song Exposed as a liar would be a good double Crowd Factory Official DVD Trailer and Exposed as a liar Official Video
Dude I've been spinnining Korn at work the last 3 day's listening to albums I never got around to buying. Gotta say some sick tracks. Callin it a korn craze.
Yo this is probably my number one song from Jinjer. I'm new to your channel homie but I wanted to throw you a little curveball, so you should check a song called push (pain rap) by DaddyPhatSnaps.
Cloud Factory (Official live) m.ua-cam.com/video/Sg8tiRyXujQ/v-deo.html You can do the double with the official video however the Live is by far the best.
Not the same outfit, in the video she wears very wide pants, here she wears a skirt (same show as the Pit Of Conscious one). Little sad fact: This venue in Kiev, where they are residing too, closed just recently due to covid. So they don't have a home venue to play at anymore. And yeah, Tatianas stage presence, her whole body language is oddly hypnotic. I think you can see how much fun she has with actual performing and not just singing, which is why I even enjoy watching the lower quality shows. You almost heard all Macro songs by the way, the last few remaining ones will also get music videos (they confirmed this when the Prophecy one came out) so I would probably wait for those.
In a recent stream Eugene said Bingo, where this performance has been filmed, was sold and there is no place with such capacity for rock events in Kyiv.
So, erm, Sean... Guess what other killer track is from this Macro album? 'Noah' You know... Just saying... So hooked on these double features, got a good thing going on. Anything from that Kiev show is golden by the way. Keep it up man, but you owe it to yourself to do Noah 😉🙏

honestly, i'd love to see him react to who is gonna be the one just for her vocals from the melbourne show

The craziest part about the live performance was that belt while she was crouching, that’s insanely hard because your lungs are compressed.
Haha no kidding, that looked like it would be hard but she made it look easy
Yes, Micro and Macro are both in this style. In the evolution of Jinjer, this is their "current" sound.
The sniper is a metaphor.. shoots the dude in the heat and nothing happened.. hits his bling and he dies.. the true definition of greed.. this is one of my favorites.. but yeah.. the whole song is about what the quest for financial success does to our humanity
JINJER - Words of Wisdom (Official Video, and Live) - both Napalm Records. they would make a great double feature 🤘🏻

Cloud Factory has been my favorite for quite some time. The live version is Tati at her HOTTEST. Actually, the official video also. Smokin.
Yeahhh keep them Jinjer double features coming!! You´ve gotten plenty of recommendations so just do them 😉
Would recommend with pleasure: "Just Another" and "Scissors"
I concur with Scissors. It's my third favorite song behind Sit, Stay, Roll Over and Words of Wisdom.
Yeah the songs on Macro have a fairly consistent sound, although they are all unique in some way. These are the main songs on Macro:
On the Top
Pit of Consciousness
Judgement and Punishment
Retrospection
Pausing Death
Noah
Home Back
The Prophecy
Out of all those, Pausing Death and the Prophecy are probably the most like Sit Stay Roll Over, but are a lot more chaotic
