I have had the privilege of working with many road racers, they are a special breed, especially the TT and the NW200, Nothing will stop them and they are fully aware of the risks involved, it’s just what they want to do !! RIP to many I met !
Being from the island. Everything is worth it. They know what they’re doing and for spectators come to the island ones and we can guarantee you will be back each year.
I once had the joy of spending the day working with an ex TT sidecar rider that my boss's step dad used to race with aswell as my boss and his dad in their out fit Whilst having dinner he explained that One hedge on a notorious bend him and his passenger used to laugh about how close they used to get the passengers head to the hedge He went on to explain how one year he was helping a newcomer out to learn parts of the track and was convinced to walk the track with the newcomer He had never walked the entire 37 miles before other than major hard spots He said he walked past his hedge and went white upon the realisation that his hedge he had been leaving his best friends head as close as a cm and at times continuing to do so FOR THE FANS WELL that hedge was A EFFING STONE WALL covered in ivy He later informed his passenger who responds was apparently So keep doing it we ain't hit it yet lol 🤣 The mind set is unnerving to say the least but God do they all love it and breath it
there is one vid about the TT race, where they show a crash, but it's of the guy they are interviewing, and he's talking about it, so that one is ok, imo, but the "TT race crash compilation" are not... PS the vid i'm talking about, is titled "The Isle Of Men: The World's Deadliest Motorcycle Race | TIME" on YT, from the channel TIME, 8 years ago...
Great reaction. I'm with you on being safer, when you have a family depending on you. As someone who has been into racing and various other dangerous sports my whole life. There is no way I would jeopardise the time I had with my wife and kids. That the main reason I never married or had kids. I knew from an early age, I wanted an adventurous life. I do kinda' regret my path, but it has been an awesome ride so far. Much luck to you brother.
thank you for not doing the crash reactions. I love racing and riding. I've seen enough crashes and death in real life and it never feels good to see it. I know it's a part of the sport. but concentrate on the side that we all love. not the side that turns most people off of the sport.
My cousin used to do this (yes he's a mad bastard) I've raced motocross against sidecars (i was on a quad) at the beach race in weston super mare, totally mental!
I know exactly what you mean. I used to ride motorcycles and hung around some sketchy club dudes but when I got married? My wife kept bringing up “what is going to happen to me and the children if you die on that thing?” And she’s right. The thing to fear is leaving your family behind before it’s time to. These guys racing have gigantic steel plated balls for sure. I couldn’t do it either. No way no how! I’ll probably end up like my parents: putting the riding on hold til the kids are grown and then getting a bike again lol😅
@@jonograhamreacts yes sir, I am sure you have heard the old adage, “it’s not IF you will crash, it’s WHEN”, and I can tell you that maxim is indeed true. Just happy to come out of them unhurt! Stay safe for the fam, my man.
Watch a crash survivor compilation not short of action Like Guy Martins huge Crash Very luck to survive really shows the safety around the unsafely of the circuit No one died so yt should be more favourable
You watching the TT crashes is 1 thing. BUT DO NOT DO A REACTION TO THOSE BRUTAL EVENTS!!! I'm with you on not glorifying them. As to you thinking you may be viewed as a "coward" for not wanting to take on the Ilse of Mann TT. No. That makes you a sane person. Hope everyone has an amazing week & much love from here in GB
you talking about danger but its a prospective thing, these are the best in the world at this sport not anyone can rock up and do a TT you have to be well experienced racer to start then after a few years of circuit racing you can enter the slow classes at the TT and work your way upto the top bikes. and its not about money as the winning pot is tiny like 10k they can make far more doing other races , often these races have it in there blood there parents are riders and often have competed at the TT them self As for danger think of this More than 7,000 pedestrians were killed on our nation’s roads in crashes involving a motor vehicle in 2020.1 That’s about one death every 75 minutes in the USA . Yet you dont think too much about crossing a road, its the same for these drivers. I my self use to race rally cars some people call me nuts thinking its dangerous sport but to me it wasn't as i know what i was cable of doing
You should take a look at Pikes Peak (Colorado). The course takes drivers to an altitude over 2 miles high; blind turns; frequent lack of guard rails.

He went on to explain how one year he was helping a newcomer out to learn parts of the track and was convinced to walk the track with the newcomer
He had never walked the entire 37 miles before other than major hard spots
He said he walked past his hedge and went white upon the realisation that his hedge he had been leaving his best friends head as close as a cm and at times continuing to do so
FOR THE FANS
WELL that hedge was A EFFING STONE WALL covered in ivy
He later informed his passenger who responds was apparently
So keep doing it we ain't hit it yet lol 🤣

Awesome reaction - loving all of your reactions on the channel (you deserve many more thumbs up)
Since 1907 they have had 155 deaths during the racing at the Isle of Man TT.

Try pikes peak course. It’s a more dangerous course due due to the altitude and the rapidly changing weather conditions

yeah it's not something I want to see or others to see to be honest.

Check out guy Martin's onboard lap and the bottom of barregarrow that is 5th gear through there 😳
👍✊👊 for not reacting to the "Crash(snuff) Videos"

I've wanted to get a bike for years but the Mrs won't hear it, so I have come to the same conclusion and will wait till the kids have grown up.

Agree. I also can’t understand people who like to watch the crashes.

Just subbed buddy, would you react to Peter Hickman full lap, you get to see the race from him wearing a chin camera
It`s pucker up time
Sometime the passenger in the sidecar. Is also called the wife. They must nit argue either too much. Or have regular blow ups.
