    I don't know how or why this video showed up on my list but I went ahead & looked at it and I'm glad I did. NEVER even thought about getting one, but It made me look at some other Bidet videos & I bought one off of Amazon the next day, I got the 185 model. I absolutely love it, & do yourself a favor, go ahead and get the Chrome T-Adapter, you'll be glad you did. Without it the pressure might be too strong. When you've finished setting it up just sit down & try it out. Turn it on low & then reach back & adjust the T-Adapter then turn the Bidet up all the way & then adjust the T-Adapter again until you've reached the perfect pressure for you.

    • @Corrodias
      @Corrodias 8 років тому

      Absolutely. It seems like the unit would work well even for houses that have low water pressure, but if yours is good, then a gentle hand on the knob is warranted. Otherwise, the T adapter is recommended.

    Thank you so much! Great video. I'm a Product Reviewer and I was offered various models of the Luxe Bidet Toilet Seat Bidet. Wasn't sure I could install myself, or that it would be okay in an apartment - not a permanent, plumber-installed fixture. Now I know! Can't wait to receive my Bidet (free!) and I will install myself!

    Your analogy of cleaning mud off the driveway with paper or washing it is great. Really enjoyed your presentation of how easy it is to install. When I get one I'll have to deal with using just the cold water like yours, but hope it's not a big deal.

    I installed mine earlier today and this man's instructions are spot-on. The water pressure was too high, so I ordered the valve shown. You can adjust the pressure from the main valve, but it affects the fill time of the toilet tank. Great info and the presenter is incredibly HOT. Always a plus with instructional videos. ; )

    I forgot to mention that you didn't show or mention the use of the taller rubber bumpers for the toilet seat bottom when this product is in use. It supposedly can be a problem with the seat sitting down correctly if they are not used. The plastic housing at the back of the seat makes it unlevel with some of them.

    Just put two of these in our house, would never be without one again. For the people that baulk at the idea of having one just say ; if you went out in the yard and picked up dog poop with your bare hands, would you wipe it off with a paper towel and call it good? Of course not! But that’s what we’ve been raised to do. It’s so much more sanitary and not to mention the savings on not using as much toilet paper!

    So the unit does not activate until you push the control knob on it? In other words, it doesn't just squirt out when the actual toilet lever is pushed down? If it did then guys standing to pee would be in for a real mess, huh? I ordered a 185 model, myself. I am sort of laughing as when I was stationed in Naples, Italy, every single American casa I ever visited had the bidet in it, but with a flower pot or potted plant in it, as the Americans had no earthly idea as to how it worked. :-) I am anxious to see what all is entailed to make this product work for my home. For me, it is a great idea, but my wife never really caught on when she was in Italy with me.

      In my experience, it's not really uncomfortable nor painful, even with really cold water. Your anus gets cold, but it doesn't seem to mind. It's honestly more of an issue if you're using the "women" setting to clean off your hands or front bits, and even then... 20 seconds later, you won't even remember them being cold.

    • @uhclem
      @uhclem 5 років тому

      Unless you have a tankless water heater, you'll have to wait for the hot to get to the bidet, then adjust with the cold so you don't scald your rosebud. By that time you could have used the cold water twice. So not worth it.

    Any issues with water splashing out of the little gap between the seat and bowl? I'd imagine the skin on your hind end seals up the rest ok, except the front. Any difficulties finding the correct positioning to prevent a stream escaping out the front?

    • @Corrodias
      @Corrodias 8 років тому +1

      It does happen, if your position is too high or far back, so it just reflects off your flesh and out the front. It takes a *little* bit of getting used to. But after you've used it a couple of times, you'll figure out the correct way to position yourself. It depends upon the shape of your toilet seat, but basically, just make sure your butt is positioned toward the front and is leaning down into it.

    I just bought one of these and my only complaint so far the fact that it raises the back part of the seat up to the point where the back feet of the seat no longer touch the rim. A better design would be for them to instead incorporate a thin metal reinforcement that runs the entire length of the inside the main the housing all the way to the control pod. Then have two thin metal brackets with holes protruding out from the front of it that line up with the seat bolt holes so that the seat bracket would go over and bolt thru. The metal brackets would be thin enough that they would barely raise the seat at all but still offer a secure mounting point. It would also make for stronger overall unit that would stand up to some flex should someone accidently lean on the control pod. It would add very little to manufacturing cost and make for a much better product.

    • @jennifereglington1969
      @jennifereglington1969 6 років тому

      YES. It's worth redoing the whole video to show how to use plumber's tape, because it's a valuable item to have for every plumbing situation. I had never heard of plumber's tape until I bought a fancy showerhead. The tape guarantees a good seal without having to overtighten the connection. That's important especially when you have plastic parts, as this bidet has. That said, I couldn't find my tape when I installed my own bidet, and I was careful to align the threads correctly, and tighten slowly, so everything lined up right, and I haven't had any leaks. I will eventually undo everything and reconnect it with the plumber's tape.

    so is your ass still wet when you get up or you have to have a tile, if you have to use a tile and have 20 people over and ten have to use your bath room, and they only see one tile or this is where paper towels come in, where some may throw the paper tile in the toilet, in other word what is done about drying yourself ?
