I have a bidet attachment for my toilet. Attaches to the water supply line and the hot water line. It was $50 on Amazon. There are cheaper ones if you don't mind a cold brisk cleansing of that area and only attach to the cold water supply line. I grew with an actual separate bidet in the bathroom and don't understand why American bathrooms don't come with one. So much cleaner rather than wiping over and over to ensure no residue is left after #2.
I'm guessing Dr Dray, the UA-cam dermatologist, would think letting water evaporate off your skin causes Transepidermal water loss, which dries out the skin. She said in a video she puts an ointment on her starfish after getting out of the shower. I don't remember the video title, so I don't know if she named a brand. I'm thinking only using toilet paper would conserve the oils that protect from moisture loss. This is just my guess, I'm not an expert like Dray is.

OMG I just don't feel clean with just toilet paper. I want one for my purse all the time! We got a bidet attachment because of the clean factor. Now we've seen a secondary benefit in these times.
I got the boss bidet portable one. And can tell you it is Great. I work in a warehouse and find it just as necessary as a computer. I can fill it with warm water from the sink and feel clean all day. No mess or odor. And none of that itchy butt feeling driving the forklift. It’s great for travel. Especially for roadside toilets and porta pottys.

Disposed water/pop bottles work. Hole in cap more flexible than in bottle. Hole on thread side of ridge leaks! Drill or heat needle/nail to Make 1/16 inch hole from inside cap on wall just above the ridge! Sprays sideways. Shampo/skin cream, etc bottles with side nozzles work too.
Good Housekeeping did an article on these. I use a Brondell with warm water. It's awesome, but you have to get the correct angle. They really are a great thing to have. You can make one with a water bottle or a dish soap bottle as well in a pinch. It saves a ton of toilet paper as well.

I use the GenieBidet, not as a T..P. substitute but as a personal wipe substitute. Lately I’ve been watching on the news that personal wipes are clogging the sewer treatment plants and are not recommended for home septic systems or RV’s . The labels of some say only one per flush. These bidet bottles are better than any kind of wipe. It’s like getting a mini shower just where you need it.
Need high pressure? NP, get an everyday garden sprayer, attach a kitchen sink spray end to the with a round water clamp. Then spray away at your dialed in pressure, holds more water for those times when more is wanted.
Been using this model for weeks. Learned a lot just now and will change over to filling it with warm water and see how it works. Cold water is awful. Use very very little toilet paper just to dry off.

you can get silicone douches that have "bidet" attachments too! if the silicone bladder and or bidet piece gets too gross, just cut it up into small pieces and composte it. because it is silicone, it will turn back into sillica over time. its cheaper and better for the environment
I suggest when you spray it from an angle and let the water trickle along your hole. Not directly at your hole. It will minimise splatter of water and others.
Just use a squeezy lemon bottle. The spray is super directional (because the bottle's so small) and very pressurised, so it'll get rid of anything nasty. It's like pressure washing your under carriage. Just left with a bit of water to dry off. At home, use your towel - away, use a little cloth 4 that purpose. No need to buy ANYTHING. Just use the one in the fridge, once it's empty, instead of recycling it.

The waste won't go back up like that. The bidet is not working on an engine to force water up ur way. Normally, we just wiggle above the toilet seat to get off some water and pull on our pants. Just how you wring ur hands after washing. Also, here in south asia. We make sure to use soap. Not just plain water to cleanse the poop. Soap is a must. Plus, the wet undie will dry quick on its own. Otherwise just use little tissue paper to dry urself if you hate getting ur undie a little wet. Or an old cloth too. Just wash the cloth every 3 days maybe.
In India, we use jet sprays. Its just a small attachment on the side of the commode. You do not need a separate seat / commode to clean. Very economical. Just under 5-7 US Dollars here in india. Using water is more hygienic & healthy as a paper wont ever clean 100%. And since its dry, bacteria & germs make the anus area worst with bad smell & infections. Use a water jet spray or a bidet fitting. it’s definitely more hygienic. Every person in India, be it poor or the rich, uses water to clean the butt. Its more safer, hygienic & cleaner than using a paper. Once you get used to water, believe me you wont ever go back to use a toiler paper. Use water, say no to infections

Here in south asia, using soap with the water is a must. We rinse with water to get shit off, rub some gentle soap, and rinse again. And done.

Those are very small bidets, the ones I seen has a long nozzle which is better, especially for the heavy people

Every Bathroom in every house nowadays should be constructed with built-in water hose jet on the side of the toilet left side more specifically..
It seems like an inefficient use of water? CP's TP Compressed disks/ towels seem better in a situation.
I have the TP Tablets too. I forget if they are flushable though. I have them in my emergency kits.

I use the Happypo (german), it works really well.
I just stocked up on wipes, just don't flush them..
