I was a truck driver for over 5 yrs. In that time, I cannot count how many times I have seen someone almost get killed because of someone on their cellphone and driving.
How do you have a wreck that severe, on a side road, with witnesses, and the idiot that caused it isn't under arrest for reckless driving and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon?
he ran on foot before the police got there. chances are they are in the system and fingerprints will id them if someone else doesn't do it first. chances are the car is stolen. If the owner does not report it stolen insurance won't pay out on the car.
This is why you don't assume until you have the whole story. I hate it when people assume something when the video starts after the fact. Not saying you are.

I've always found the way cars are designed when it comes to wrecks fascinating. I know they're not conscious beings, but when I see one and I know the people in the car made it out okay, or if it's a REALLY bad wreck if they at least survived, I always look at the car with a feeling of: Good car, you did your job!
Dang, that was a big cleanup job. The lady needs some serious jail time if this was intentional. I'd like to get the whole story and know if the man survived.
Same thing happened to my bf, young lady hit him, while he was being removed from his truck, she was on her phone trying to find a ride, she did not even call 911! Her phone records proved that in the depo.
There is one theme in many videos, those who get towed parked in wrong place or left a vehicle that does not run a long time and they know it - all is good till they get caught - This accident is bad and you are there to help sort it out by getting vehicles towed and off the road to clear it for traffic, you have much respect form many Johnny as this job takes a real experienced tow truck driver to handle jobs like accidents.
Sure hope they investigated the lady driving as something was definitely off with her. The guy in the red Mercedes who ran away from the scene needs some serious jail time. Sure hope they are able to find him. Stay safe Johnny.
She was moving so slowly, it makes me suspicious she was DUI or having a medical episode. The fact that she hit someone and then went full speed into another car should be investigating the cause

She looked that way because she has just been in a serious accident and she is probably a little dazed, possibly even in shock. Why the cops or even Johnny didn't spot that, given their experience in these situations, was kind of interesting. The trunk of the car smashed up had a trunk full of bourbon, as Johnny pointed out in the video, that was the only reference made to alcohol. As to who is at fault, unless you have some unique access to information or footage the rest of us do not have, you are babbling about something you know almost nothing about. Take a break, come out of the basement and get another juice box out of your mother's kitchen.

These videos are helpful for the fact that they showcase all of the aftermath of what happens when people have crashes... as in, how many people have to come and respond to the scene, police, fire, medics, the cleanup that has to happen in towing the cars away and picking up all the broken pieces, and then of course the injuries. I'm hoping everyone was okay on that first scene, and honestly the one who caused that crash should be prosecuted for gross neglect (or if it was intentional, assault or something else) and billed for all of that.
In Atlanta, I wouldn't recommend crashing into the back of a F-150 and then arguing with the driver--you might get you a dose of F.O. ( and I don't mean Frosted Orange).
