When our son was of age to drive we spent the extra money for driving lessons. When he got his permit we sat him down and talked about drivin😅g is a privledge, always be safe, how to do minor maintenance on a car and his responsibilities. We made sure he understood how important it was to always stop for police or an stay after an accident. We also taught him the importance of proper lic, registration and insurance. I always ensured him that we wouldn't not get mad if he had an accident unless it was proven he caused the accident because of racing or aggressive driving. Simple talk we had to ensure he never left the scene
