The sheep love their neighbor/brethren, with good works...
Jesus said to the sheep; when I was thirsty you gave me drink.. when I was hungry you gave me meat.. when I was naked you clothed me.. when I was sick or in jail you visited me.. when I was a stranger you took me in. Matthew 25:31-46
The goats didn't love their neighbor/brethren, with good works...
Jesus said to the goats; when I was thirsty you gave me no drink.. when I was hungry you gave me no meat.. when I was naked you clothed me not.. when I was sick or in jail you visited me not.. when I was a stranger you took me not in. Matthew 25:31-46
If you love your neighbor with good works, you love God...
If you don't love your neighbor with good works, you don't love God...
If you don't love your neighbor, whom you see, how can you love God, whom you don't see?
If you don't have love, you don't have nothing. 1 corinthians 13
Jesus did good works, and He fulfilled all the law with love.. for love is the fulfilling of the law. Romans 13:10
If you want to fulfill all the law in one word, even in this; love your neighbor. Galatians 5:14

The sheep and the Goat is not referring to judgment at the End of the world but this was referring to the judgment at the Great White Throne when Jesus told the Scribes and Pharisees that it will be impossible for them to escape the damnation of : Gehinnon in most Bible’s it says the word Hell but Hell is an English language word and Jesus did not speak English " they are not the same Jesus would have said Gehinnon because he was referring to the Valley of Gehinnon that burned continously and where the Jews of Antiquity caused their children to pass through the fire to the idol Molech " and Jesus told them that they were a generation of vipers and that their damnation will come in there Generation.
    Matt.23 33-36
33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
And when Jesus returned between 66ad-70ad to pour out his judgements on Jerusalem and the Temple there was a resurrection of the Unrighteous and also those that did not taste death were taken outside the city gates of Jerusalem to The Great White Throne Judgment and they were all judged according to their works and thrown into the Winepress of the wrath of God and the Winepress of the wrath of God went as far as a thousand and six hundred furlongs which is equal to 200 miles and the Blood went up to the horses bridle there was weeping and nashing of teeth .
And the sheep of God are the Jew and Gentile Christians that were living in Jerusalem before the war broke out and an Angel of the Lord warned the Christians to depart from Jerusalem because the city is about to be taken and surrounded by Armies and the Saints migrated to the city of Pella this is what the separation of the Sheep and the Goat means today everyone that dies is judged at the time of death because the Bible says that when we die we die unto the Lord
    Amen 🙏

Sheep trusted in Jesus for their salvation and forgiveness of sins , the goats trusted in something else.

My only question though; doesn't this interpretation directly contradict the rest of the Bible which clearly states salvation is NOT of works, and not of ourselves? That it is NOT by works of righteousness that we have done? That if it is by grace, it is no longer by works; lest grace be no longer grace? This interpretation sounds a lot like salvation is 100 percent based on works of righteousness, and is not at all a free gift, but based in how good a person is. Which is essentially what every other religion on Earth teaches. Explain this to me,

    • @MrMuncle
      @MrMuncle  2 роки тому

Thanks, very good question. The short answer would be 'no'. What I said was *not* "works = salvation", *but instead* "salvation = works".
See 12:33 where I made the point that doing good things does *not* get you into heaven, but, they are a mark of something deeper, i.e, a heart for/relationship with Jesus. In short - Saved people bear fruit (see Galations 5.22, James 2).
In my conclusion at 15:03, I made the point again that as Christians, if we have no love, mercy, or compassion for His people, we are not serving Christ - so it's a call, or warning to evaluate our hearts, and relationship with Jesus - because if we are not bearing fruit, something might be wrong (see Matt 7.15-23).
Hope this helps, God blees you.

@@MrMuncle I agree that Christ calls us to love the bretheren. That by loving them, we love Him. The one who has been forgiven much, loves much. I guess my hesitation is, if this is the test of who is saved and who isn't, then there are a lot of atheists out there going to heaven. There are a lot of Buddhists and Muslims going to heaven. Lot's of people outside of Christ give to the poor, tend to the sick, and do many great works. They going to heaven? Do their good works prove they are Christ's?
When I was out street preaching in Skid Row, handing out food to the homeless and gospel tracts, we saw unbelievers there doing the same. They were volunteering their time handing out food to the homeless, and caring for them. When we talked with them and told them we represented Christ, they smiled politely and just nodded their heads and kept walking. Are they Christ's because they were feeding the poor? There must be a deeper understanding to these passages. This is a very difficult passage.

    • @MrMuncle
      @MrMuncle  2 роки тому

@@medic4christ777 - Thanks brother. It is a difficult passage indeed. What the chapter is getting at, is that it's the **relationship** (hence the language of "shepherd and sheep", "brothers and sisters", etc.) with Jesus that determines salvation. It's challenging you to ask if you **love** Jesus - because if you love Jesus, there will be outward signs of that. It's not saying "doing good things means you love Jesus", as I said at 15:47. This is the exact reason for the analogy of sheep and goats, because they often look so very similar!
My anchor point at 8:10 - according to the text, the people that go to heaven are the people who want to know Jesus, who want to be with Him, and follow Him. A big part of this is obedience - _"For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”_ - Matthew 12.50.
Pair this with Matthew 7:21, and you see that without the relationship, there is arguably no salvation.
I hope this makes sense - God bless you.

Medic4Christ it is because Matthew 25:31-46 does not refer to you, or any other believer who lives before the harpazo. It refers ONLY to those on earth AFTER this event when He came to take the dead and living in Christ to be with him (1Thess 4:13-18). It is a misconception to think that we will be judged by our works as sheep and goats.

@@josephpchajek2685 Christ taught that a person is born again in a MOMENT, the moment they believe. They have passed in that moment from death to life. Being born again happens at the moment they are SEALED with the spirit. Ephesians 1. You are teaching heresy.

Love thy neighbor, the second commandment. Love your neighbor and be good to them = you love God ( 1st commandment) you do unto Jesus. You do not love your neighbor and do not do good = you do not love God ( 1st commandment) and are not accepting Jesus Jesus is saying Jesus = Your neighbor Who is your neighbor? See the good samarian the Samarian = someone that is not like you and does not even believe like you. .

    Poor exegesis.
The key is that the people being judged DO NOT KNOW WHY THIS JUDGMENT IS GIVEN! Many millions of Christians today (and through the centuries) believe that their actions toward the downtrodden are EXACTLY what these verses mean. So…how can they be “surprised” by these statements of Jesus? The people here in Matthew 25:31-46 have NO CLUE why Jesus is passing this judgment, and therefore cannot be talking about the multitude of believers (and false believers) who have died thinking that this criteria is how they will be evaluated!
Matthew 25:31-46 is referring to those STILL ALIVE at the 2nd coming of Jesus who have never heard the gospel as we preach it today since it is AFTER THE HARPAZO! The only ones preaching the Kingdom of God at first are the 144,000 Jewish BROTHERS of Christ who will be persecuted, imprisoned, denied food, etc. for telling people about the coming King Jesus!
Matthew 25:1-30 describes the fate of true and false believers who have either died or been taken alive in the harpazo. Verses 31-46 refers to those still here and become believers NOT by a profession of faith as we do today but by believing the message of the coming King AND acting upon that belief as proof. Jesus and Paul (We are saved by faith, not by works) do NOT contradict each other.

In the verse the sheep and goats are in the flock. Jesus is the good Shepard and his flock are the sheep and the goats. What supposed them was not that they didn't do nice stuff but the fact that Jesus took it personally when they didn't do it for the lest of the people. He places himself in the place of the down trodden person.
