I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU, the loyal subscribers, for sticking with me the last several years as unforeseen issues made it impossible for me to work on the videos. However, as Arnold said, "I'm back," and I look forward in producing some really neat videos for you to enjoy and maybe even gain a little extra knowledge from. Thanks again for your patience these last several years. Now, I hope you enjoy viewing, as much as I enjoyed producing, this video comparing these three great little S&W revolvers.
It's so good to have you back. We missed your videos and style of presentation. I have a Centennial/442 (Which has been my most carried CCW) but I'm interested in one of the 638 models. As an aside, since I recently enjoyed your EMP video. I took the lil Springfield EMP to the range and it shot every different type of ammo I ran through it.
The 638 is a neat concept. I like the non exposed hammer in carrying it. My favorite is the 642 as I really do not shoot single, so nice to have the hammer hidden. Thanks for commenting and viewing the video. I really appreciate it.
Glad you are feeling up to making your great videos. This one is especially good timing as a friend is doing research on these guns before she purchases one. I have learned so much from you and your demonstrations. Thank you!
While I haven’t been a revolver guy (other than Cowboy Action Shooting) since I bought my first semi-auto in the 80’s (HK P7 M13), I was just so happy to see “RgR” pop up in my New Videos list that I just had to watch and make sure it wasn’t some kind of prank. Glad to see you back in action! But, yes, I did have the blued “airweight” version of that 638 back then, whatever it was called. Terrific for carry, no fun to practice with. My Kahr CW380 now performs the same function.
NO joke..I really finally made it back and appreciate all the nice comments I have had from so many loyal followers. Thanks for commenting and viewing the video. I really appreciate it.
Great to see you back. I don’t own any of these, but to be honest I’m sure wanting one. I have a Ruger SP101. Great little revolver, mine is in 357 but I only shoot 38specials. The 101 is just so darn heavy, which is nice on the range with recoil, but terrible for carry. Thanks
Hey David, thanks for the info. I have a video comparing the Model 60 and the SP 101. I feel the same about the 101. Like most Rugers, it is built to take a beating but is also a little more bulky to carry for me too. My favorite is the Smith Model 60 and like you, I shoot only 38s and +ps in it. Thanks for commenting and viewing the video. I really appreciate it.
RGR, I'm soooo glad you're back. I always enjoyed watching your videos and it's great to be able to see more of your content. I've unsubbed from quite a few gun channels the past couple years but remained subscribed to yours just hoping for your return. It's a great day now that I know you're back! Cheers
All is well - finally. I appreciate the nice comment and look forward shooting some more videos. Comments make the channels so much fun, so I look forward to them - thanks.
Nice video and nice guns! I used to have a 340PD and came real close to buying one of these last year but went with a 380 instead. I still want to get one eventually
@@RealGuysReviews last year I also saw a beautiful used Model 60 with a 3" barrel that had a nice trigger job. I so wanted it but it was beyond my budget at the time.
I love my 642 and I really like the shape with the fully internal hammer. However, if you do plan on shooting out at distance, practice is imperative if your only option is double action. Thanks for commenting and viewing the video. I really appreciate it.
The 642 is the way I am leaning, I have no problem using a DA only revolver for CC or personal protection and think it would be a better option if ever needed. And like you said practice is a must. Thanks again!!!!
Holy Smokes! I cannot believe you are back. I am so glad! You had been one of my favorite UA-cam channels but it had been so long that I feared the worst. I was so surprised to see a new video of yours pop up on my subscription lists! Thank you for coming back and home all is well.
Good to see you back. Hope all is well. Good to see you getting back to "bread and butter" firearm videos I enjoy (without all the Tacti-cool garbage in some of the latest Youtude rubbish).
great video, rgr is one of the best online gun reviwers. key to a good airweight snubbie shooting experience is ammo. i’m not a recoil junkie so i both practice with and ccw 38 wadcutter ammo.
Thanks so much for the compliment and for viewing. I appreciate it. I certainly try. My videos are not for those who just want to see shooting (I am not that good). There are tons of shooting videos out there by experts. I make them for what I am interested in about a gun and glad you like the structure - details of how it is made, how it shoots and along with a little history. Thanks for the comment and for viewing. I appreciate it.
Thanks Gary..Wondered if I would make it back, but I have and look forward for more productions. Thanks for viewing and commenting, and hanging in there with me.
Thanks for the comment. They are fun to do and it is worth the time and the effort when I feel they are enjoyed and maybe one learns something from them.

All pretty cool! I have a Model 37 Airweight (no lock) and a Model 442-1 Airweight hammerless (no lock)Black. Very easy carry revolvers.
Like you, I like the Smiths and I carry the Model 60 and 642 most frequently.
