I find it very comical that when we was younger, most of us had our hair greased to the scalp and hot comb.. which resulted in healthy hair. Now everyone say No, don’t do that, you have to use all natural hair products and no heat but still have to battle issues with growth retention…. Gimme me a break! I can’t remember anyone having damaged short hair as naturals when I was younger until they got relaxers.
Baby I still grease my baby’s scalp and I used to do mine too until I got locs and actually Thinking about going back just hope it won’t get stuck. But wild growth oil is good too. I think going natural just has folks trying new things but I’m definitely going back to the basics with my head
You are absolutely correct. When my Mom pressed my hair with Hair Rep I had the thickest and longest hair of my life. She would always tell me to oil my scalp between washings.
There are many ingredients in wild growth. Including coconut oil. A lot of people are allergic to coconut oil and are not aware. You may want to have your girls tested. JIC
I happily still use Blue Magic hair grease for my girls. It's a little too heavy for me so I just use some good ole plain Extra Virgin Olive Oil. If it ain't broke, don't fix it
I use blue magic and Jamaican black castor oils. Now I'm try this. Because my hair is to my bra. Thanks for sharing this with me. Other oils are good with grease as well. I will never stop using hair grease and oils together. It works great for my hair. My mom started it with me. And it has been great for me ever since, I was a little girl. You right, if it ain't broken don't fix it. 😁
Tropical Isle Living JBCO works like magic. When I started my natural journey, I purchased a bottle along with the shampoo, conditioner and leave in. I put the JBCO in my scalp and give a good massage. I wash every 2 weeks either a full wash or a co-wash. Put in a protective style and LEAVE IT ALONE. You may have to spritz your hair with organic aloe juice for the length and ends but JBCO scalp massages every other day. Do what works for you but my other advice. Leave those petroleum based products alone.
There is a video on youtube that explains that some vendors are selling fake wild growth oil. I just ordered mines from Amazon under the company brand Wild Growth. This will be my first time using wild growth oil and I will be doing a patch test before using it all over my head. If you do buy it again in the future or any product, buy it direct from the company. I wish for your daughter's hair to continue to flourish and thrive ❤️
@@brittanycoriece8486 Hey there, just wanted to update you on my Wild Growth Oil experience...it irritated my scalp but I can't pinpoint it to the product itself because I do have coconut oil sensitivity and the first ingredient in Wild Growth is coconut oil. I haven't used coconut oil in years and I figured I'd give it another chance through this product. Maybe you should perform a small patch test on your daughter's scalp to see if she is allergic or have a sensitivity to coconut oil too so she can stay away from products containing coconut oil. What's interesting is that my husband used it and it worked just fine for him without the irritation I experienced. Lol, I told him he can have it! 😂 I just wanted to update you with my experience. Have a blessed day.
@Stella Lewis Yeah, I threw it away from the time I purchased it and tried it on my husband's hair once. I strictly use castor oil and olive oil on my hair. IDK why I bought the Wild Growth oil because I didn't need it prior, I just wanted to try it out and automatically it was a no go. Thanks for sharing!
SPEAK! I used grease and everyone started saying grease is too heavy and no good. I tried oils, leaves my hair feeling weighed down and makes it itchy. Went back to old fashioned hair grease and my scalp doesn't feel dry and itchy. These babies are too cute!
I still use my blue magic at 56 and will not stop,it works for me,and besides that's what they used back in the day, thank you now that explains why my edges is thinning,I did not no about fake, wild growth, New year all the oil is dumped out.
I mix Doo gro grease with Jamaican Castro oil and a lil bit of wold growth oil.. To comb my daughters hair..Works wonders on my daughters hair.. Every 2 days I moisturize my daughters scalp with wildgrowth oil.. Jamaican Castro oil and softee growth oil all mix together.. Keeps her hair full of moisture
Grease clogs pores they say but first time I’m using grease on my 2 year old ever I hope it works. Because I thought everything I saw on the internet but some peaple use grease and it works
You're partly right. You randomly picked an oil off the internet. Some people's oil work well with olive oil ( for me it just sits on my scalp and doesn't do anything) I had to use a different oil. Certain oils have smaller/bigger sized molecules which have different penetration abilities. U have to find the oil that works with you.
Yep my scalp started to itch and burn I stopped within 3 days .. girl you are right I never did nothing to my hair I left it alone it grew all back in a year down my back after a bad diet. I left it alone I learn my lesson leave it alone..I'm got to but some good Paul Mitchell shampoo and conditioner and use a light oil and leave it alone like I use to do .
yessss i started back using grease on pootie hair about 3months ago, mine as well. her hair has been at like a standstill, not retaining the length. i was using that oil for a min too and it was making her hair thin, esp the ends. since i been using the grease though its been getting longer and thicker again! now im ready to get her braided up cause like you say i be doing her hair every 2wks, no heat but still manipulation. ive been using blue magic and black castor oil mixed but ima try this mixture too and see what it do
I mix doo gro intense treatment hair cream with black castor oil on my son for a year. His hair was a little fro now it’s past his shoulders and it’s 2 1/2 years old. Hope this was helpful. 💕💕 good luck babe
Great job 👍 yes dax, sulfur 8, glycerin, and glover mane, the grease with 🌹 on it, besides blue magic and but those 5 mentioned and good hair washing and condition ☺️
My mom used a grease called hair rape. And it made my hair grow and thicker it came in a black, white can with a red top on it. It was the best. But I'm going to try that so thank you for the video much appreciated 😊💗🙌🦋🌈💞 your girls are a doll so beautiful 🌺🌸
Pls wot do u mean by leaving the hair alone pls I do wash my baby hair once a week n I twist it until the next wash day n then pls how many times do u suggest I wash my 1 yrs old baby hair in a month pls I will appreciate any suggestions pls thanks
When I say leave the hair alone I mean to put it in a style that can last for about 3-4 weeks (braids or twists) and don't take them out.. Still grease and moisturize the hair during this time. Combing, brushing, and washing the hair weekly is not good for our textured hair. It strips the oils and moisture from it making it brittle and dry. Combing and brushing it too much causes breakage. Washing the hair once a month is best.
So i guess the more ingredients the hair gets is for the better.I say that because you mixed different grease together very well, and it came out to be good results. What's the best Castro Oil to get to get good results ??
Not necessarily the more the better. Just figure out what works best for you. Every hair texture and scalp works differently. The brand of Jamaican Black Castor Oil I use is Tropic Isle Living. It is the only one I have ever used. And it works really well.
Hi nice to meet you. Grease is better for my hair back in the day I only used Blue Magic. I am going to try the mixture you used and see how it works Thanks
The only difference between the one in the video and the yellow one is the smell. It contains the same ingredients but the yellow one has a really strong Sulfur smell. So I would suggest getting the one for kids just to eliminate smelling like Sulfur all the time.
I have been using it since my daughter was about 8 months. I am not a doctor or health care official so I am not saying that you should do it as well. That is just what I did.
