And this folks is what ryobi was made for... crafts. Ryobis strongest hammer drill is so weak to Milwaukee smaller hammer drill. You get what you pay for tho. I use 1 1/8 -1 1/4 to 3in hole saw bits for work day in day out on high speed no loss of power drilling throug 2x4s or doubles/triples. Ryobi has to be on gear 1. Low speed and still cant even handle 1/2 self feeding bits well. Complete garbage for anyone interested in ryobi. Just dont. Your most expensive royobi 18v hammer drill will fall apart withina month of any real use and get all janky and shit not work right including chuck wratchiting and torque problems when drilling and trigger problems.
There is a huge difference lol some rods are overpriced and some are under price. But there is a big difference between different brands of rods. I always have a couple ugly sticks, they're sensitive enough to bottom fish with and heavy enough for salmon. They're a great all around. Wal Mart rods will delaminate over a couple years.
Depends on what you are fishing for, which might matter. You might not want a noodle rod just because it's cheap. You wouldn't want to lose a hookset because it's a noodle.I wouldn't exceed 100 for a damn rod

When I was a kid, we stopped at the st. Croix factory store, and bought a few "imperfect" rods. They have worked great for years
We had a bunch of mud hole stuff in one of my classes in school and I got to build a few rods from scratch it was pretty cool
