fun story. his father Michael, won the best player in sweden during a world championship in Finland every game judged by the viewers. he won like 12 x-boxes.. Not even Peter Forsberg did that, or came close to that. (peter is still the god-mode hockey player but yeah...)

His contract contruversy wasnt about term but about the anual avrage of years 2-6. Nylander side stayed put at 7.5 mil per year. While the leafs wanted him to sig for 6.9 as that is all that they could afford under the salleru cap from year 2 of the deal and forward. When they Signed the deal by the deadline it caused an exemt in the cap rules where the first year counts as alot more on the cap while the years after counts as less. This ment Willam got his 7.5 mil per year (note this is a sallary aav) while the cap hit from years 2-6 stayed down at 6.9 meaning both sides got what they wanted.
It’s also worth adding that Nylander was adamant that he was pay evenly through out the contract and didnt get alot upfront or in the first few years moneywise as this would make him easy to trade if the team got cap issues (which they already had at the time and still do). For centext teams are alot more willinh to get a player if the actuall money is quite low on the deal even if the cap hit is higher as this helps them reach the cap floor if the team is trying to be bad or can help a poorer team get competitive players without having to pay the player to much money

No, he said on the show that he’s single, and that was filmed while they were in Sweden a couple weeks ago. I haven’t been able to find any recent photos of them together. Where are you finding them? She’s not in social media.
