    Thank you, Jörg and Raoul, for the great video always. I wonder about the financial requirements of the 'Opportunity Card'. I could not find any valid sources, not even on the Make it in German website. Thank you in advance.

    You said the Opportunity Card is geared more towards tradespeople and not so much IT professionals. I also heard that competition will be high in the first year and chances of obtaining a card will be slim. Overall, would you say a tech person shouldn't focus too much on the Opportunity Card?

    • @FAJIGBerlin
      @FAJIGBerlin  7 місяців тому

      We are not sure if the Opportunity Card is really the right tool for IT professionals to begin with. We still need to gather first hands-on experience and practical examples. We're expecting to know more in 6 months.

    Hello, im for thailand.
    I want to apply for this visa but I don't quite understand the details.
    I don’t understand this :
    Deutscher Hochschulabschluss oder anerkannter ausländischer, einem deutschen vergleichbarer Hochschulabschluss.
    I want to know the embassy only needs universities that meet their criteria. Or does it have to be the university, faculty, and field of study?

      Hi @rahul20901 The expanded Skilled Immigration Act will most likely come into force on 01 June 2024. You can obtain the Opportunity Card from the competent German mission abroad in your country of origin (German Embassy or German Consulate) from this date www.make-it-in-germany.com/en/visa-residence/skilled-immigration-act

    People don't understand how important mastery of german language to find a job, even as qualifizierte akademische Fachkräfte. And just because one thinks their English is good, it doesn't mean the German coworkers could understand the various international accents.

    • @FAJIGBerlin
      @FAJIGBerlin  7 місяців тому +1

      Hi @dmarl1042 There is a need to speak perfect English if you do not speak German. If people in Germany cannot understand you, your English is not advanced, and you need to work on it ( there is a need to work on your accent as well).

      @@FAJIGBerlin Totally agree.
      I am actually a bit mad when someone claims their German is good only because they get B1 certificate. I have B2 and can barely hold spontaneous conversation, let alone an intelectual one.
      Anyway, do you have any idea if it is allowable for the holder of Visum zur Arbeitsplatzsuche to take up a job of lower qualifications?

    • @FAJIGBerlin
      @FAJIGBerlin  7 місяців тому

      Hello! This is probably rather unlikely. You are either on one of the two, and pursuing your strategy with either. However, we have no hands-on practical knowledge because it would be a rather random scenario.

    Thank you ..When someone travel to Germany via chancenkarte.. does the job center help with finding a job in the exact field ?
    Another important question for me , can anyone apply for medical insurance even before finding a Job ?

    • @FAJIGBerlin
      @FAJIGBerlin  5 місяців тому

      Hi @Andrewfarid The JobCenter helps you get a job if you are a resident of Germany. It will not be possible with the Opportunity Card. You can have health insurance even if you are not employed now. You will need to have medical insurance for traveling.

    I got a job offer in Germany but employer does not sponsor me for VISA. So, Can I apply for Job Seeker VISA and then go to germany for that job and apply for permit?

    • @FAJIGBerlin
      @FAJIGBerlin  4 місяці тому

      Hi @RomerbyTom In case you have a job offer, you do not have to apply for a Job Seeker Visa. Having a job offer allows you to apply for the visa from your side if the company does not want to sponsor it.
